Thank You

Post by Jansen »

All right, I'm posting this to thank all of the members here on this forum. You guys(and gals!) have made such a difference in my building skills.
You have given me comments, criticism, and praise, and all of that has helped me immensely. Here let me show you:

Forestmans' River
This was my entry into the CCCIII back in '05. And it is a piece of junk. Its embarrassing to look at how bad I was at building. I hadn't joined the forums yet, and after I did I started getting better. It's still on my Brickshelf because I want to show people who are building like I was that they can get much better by just building more and more.

Battle Contest Entry
This one was my fist after I joined the forum. Better than the last but the tower sucked!

Tower of Shadows
This one I started to use some landscaping techniques. Gettin better!

Tower of the Forgotten
This is my first good MOC.

Oasis
One of my personal favorites. I'm really proud of my intuitive use of the pirate island baseplate.

Vinland
My best so far! I've gotten great at land scaping.

Well, there you have it. Also, these aren't all my creations, look at my gallery for more. Thanks everybody!

You have improved so much over the last year. It refreshing to see even more good builders come into this community.

I love looking at the progress of AFOLs. It really shows that anybody can grow into a great builder. We all start out small, gradually working our way to bigger and better things.

Jansen, your growth as a builder is phenomenal! Heck, your Vinland MOC was one of my favorites for this year's contest. Good work.

Why, you are very welcome!

...

Naw, I'm just kidding. I don't pretend to be your inspiration. However I have seen a DRAMATIC increase in the quality of your MOCs. I went through a similar surge in my building in the year after joining as well, and I see it in many other's as well.

I love to see it happen!

Congrats on you MOCing skills!!!

Wow, thanks for the compliments! And wunztwice, to tell you the truth you have been one of my inspirations, believe it or not. Thank you for the comment P.I.

Edit: blueandwhite, I'm actually not an AFOL but a TFOL.

Uh, Hob, wouldn't it be better to start a new thread with your post rather than in mine? People could comment on your's separately.
