I'm 28......took about 13 years to get back in the game.
Collected Gi Joe since I was 9 though, so I am no stranger to toys

Lets just say that when I started around six years old they didn't have the classic minifigure(think seventies). When you get to a certain age time has a different definition than when you're younger. I may not be the oldest on this site (phew,
) but I'm in the upper percentile.

Well, I dont think this thread is a necessity because the
Official Classic-Castle pole thread is right above this. If I am wrong, forget about this post, and take away my cookie.

You young whippersnapper why I oughta...<cough>... I oughta... <sucks on oxygen mask>... ZZZZZZZZZ
40 (3 kids, oldest recently turned 10)
Earliest sets were when was probably 8 or 9.
Dark Ages (basically the the late 80's and most of the 90's).
Collecting since I found AFOL-dom in 2002. Within about a year I had more than tripled my collection.
Funny how we think our collection is huge as a kid. Then when you actually discover AFOL-dom and you drag the box out of your parent's basement/attic it still looks respectable. And then a couple of years later you realize that by the standards of AFOL-dom your "collection" was a drop in the bucket that as a more experienced AFOL you would probably offer no more than $20 for at a garage sale.

Yes, one of my good GI Joe buddies just turned 50.
When I was younger I watched a tradgedy happen: The rare black sword from the Armor Shop set, feel victim of the tub drain....sigh. Funny how time change, I remember my 1st minifigs pack, oh if only I knew back then what I know now.
I have an on-going GI JOe Dio story going on right now(1st of it's kind).
But I plan on doing a lego RPG like story here soon. I may do th estories alittle different that what I have seen out there. Oh and I have to find a link to alot of the " Lego Lingo".
Here is a link to my Joe stuff if anyone is curious.

I'm fifteen, and have been collecting since I was four. Never went through a dark age, and the older I get, the more I get into the hobby.

I'm 19 and will be turning 20 this summer. Woah, the years pass by... I remember looking at the new pirate stuff, wishing for a pyramid set with the introduction of "Adventurers". I had one dark age: from the age of 10 to 15 or so.
Ah and about the age issue, as far as I can remember, footsteps is the eldest(?) one around here
