early 30ies
I'm playing with Lego since I was 2 years old. (one of my first sets was the 171-train. And I had a lot of the big minifigs and the ones without arms and face.)
Unfortunately my dark age began when the big time of Castle started (around 1985)
So after my dark age was over 4 years ago, I had to pay ebay and Bricklink prices for getting all those cool sets.

I'm 16, going on 17 in a couple of months. Been playing with LEGO since as long as I can remember (My older brother had some castle LEGO and such that I would play with before I had any of my own.).
Never had a Dark age thus far.. I just can pry myself away from them.

I'm 23. It all started with a gift from an aunt on my 4th birthday: 2 little Lego space ships. Got hooked then, have known a tiny dark age of a few years and got hooked again
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

Hey, me too! Next month in fact.DARKspawn wrote:I am 34 this year
I remember getting my first set when I was four, but there was already a big box of brick that I played with. Since I am the oldest, I have no idea when that box showed up. I'll have go ask my folks. But, anyway, a conservative estimate says I've been collecting for 30 years. Very brief Dark Age when I was in college. Didn't get rid of anything, just packed away with most of my life...

PS. Ted, you aren't the oldest. I know there is at least one member who is in his fifties, but I won't "out" him.
AFOL and his money are easily parted.

I'm 28, almost 29. I loved laygoes as a kid and built with them until I was about 13 years old. Then the hormones started kicking in and I lost all interest in all toys and gained a huge interest in women.
About 4 years ago the 4483 AT-AT caught my attention and I started collecting Star Wars Lego. Shortly after, I branched out into buying all types of sets for parts and I build a lot of castle stuff now. These days I rarely build official sets from the instructions because all my time goes into MOCs.

I'll be 34 in 11 days. I started playing with Lego when I was 5. I didn't have any mini-figs till I was about 10. I didn't ever really have a 'dark age'. I will be playing with Lego till my fingers no longer work on there own.

I buy LEGO, I play with LEGO, therefore LEGO are not for children, they are for me!

I am almost 15, and I have been collecting since I was 4. I joined Classic-Castle in 2006.
While I dont do much posting of my creations, I assure you, I build more than the average person.

I'll turn 34 this year. My dark ages lasted from about 1988 to the summer of 2004. By that time, none of my childhood "collection" (about a dozen small Town sets) remained. I bought my first ever Castle set in 2004.
