i'm 13, and have been collecting Legos since i was 8. I used to have a lot of medieval lego's, but i sold them to my older brother and with the money i bought a lot of Star Wars Miniatures.

Bow to the ancient one!

44 - My dark age began in 1972 and ended in 2007. In ohter words, didn't know a minifig from a fig newton until recently. Got into the hobby because I wanted to try my hand at making a brickfilm (still my main motivation for this) but I'm loving castle and will one day have the right parts in the right colors, plus the minifigs, to create "Castle Deathdog" and begin my plot to take over the known universe . . .

I'm 31. I had played with Lego for as long as I can remember, with my Golden Age being parallel with Classic Space (I'd always loved #6882 Walking Astro Grappler more than anything). My dark ages started around 1988 (Middle School... ugh). My dark ages ended around 1998 when a friend of mine and I bought some Johnny Thunder sets on a whim. Then Lego Star Wars came out, thus completely ending my dark ages.

I'm 25 and just recently got back into it.

It all began (again) this past Christmas when my sister gave me a Skeleton Tower as a gift. I was less than thrilled when I first opened it but thought it would be cool to re-live my youth. I had every Nasa set and almost every pirate set, and quite a few town sets. Few complete sets remain due to my little brother and his lack of responsibility. Needless to say I built the skeleton tower and the next thing I know I'm at Target buying the castle and the skeleton ship. I'm hooked, I go on amazon and order a few more small sets. Now, I'm trying to rebuild a lot of my old sets from peeron and lugnet.

I am sixteen going on seventeen...wait...that joke's been used already? Oops... :P

Anyways, yes I am sixteen,

My family collected them since before I was born,

But I'm the only faithful one left.

I came out of a 18-month-long dark age just recently. The reason? I discovered Brickshelf! I had no idea that there was a thriving community out there that built and built and built with lego. I found a new purpose in building when I realized I could build stuff that other people would enjoy, not just me and my family.

I've never purchased much, but when I get a job, hopefully I'll settle that.

Well I'm 22, and my dark age ended - about four months ago. :D

Being the avid collector I am with so much disposable income, in that brief period I've managed to spend something like $2500 on lego (probably more when I factor in all my bricklink purchases).

My dark age lasted ten / twelve years, I kept getting told I was getting 'too old for Lego'. I guess I showed them.

I'm 31, and my parents started me on Duplo before I can remember - I'll have to ask them when. I've never had a dark age, but have had two dim ages. I just came out of the last one (and into Castle Lego in a big way!) last November.

I'm 15. The first LEGO set that I remember getting was the pirate ship with the black ang green hull. That would have put me at four years old. I have never had a dark age but have had dim ages.
