Out of Commission

Post by SavaTheAggie »

Hey folks,

I'd like to take the time to announce that I'm going to be away for awhile.

Actually to tell the truth I'm already away and using my old roommate's computer.

I'll be out of town until tomorrow (sunday) night, but I won't be back long.

You see on tuesday morning I'm going to be heading in to the Oral Surgeon's office to have my wisdom teeth removed

I won't be going totally under, as certain pre-existing medical conditions prevent it, so there's less risk from complications.

However, in spite of that, I won't be feeling to good for a week or so, and I'll be under some REALLY strong pain medication  Needless to say I probably won't be able to do much in the way of administration during that time.

If for some crazy reason you're worried abou me, don't. Besides, you have the rest of the admins to take care of you ;) And that goes double for you, Freak. The Admins will definately take care of you... one way... ...or another.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

That is all.

Good luck, Anthony! Having all 4 out at once may be the better way to go, I had mine out 2 at a time and it was no fun, twice...

PS I find the juxtaposition of this

"The Admins will definately take care of you... one way... ...or another.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
"

with this phrase in your siggy

"Feel the Castle love, baby! "

HILARIOUS!

It's a strange kinda love you're peddling, mister. :-)

Best wishes - mine didn't really hurt at all afterwards (but they weren't impacted or infected). Nitrous Oxide is a gas! Get that if you can.

And not to steal either of your guy's thunder, but I too will be moving and won't have access to a computer for a week. I feel your pain Ben, my dad's sabbatical is over and now I'll be using dial-up too!

Good luck Anthony,

Both my lower jaw wisdom teeth are impacted and I am older than I should be for removal. They have to break my jaw to get my teeth out. I am holding it off as long as I can. I really hope that your removal goes well. No one likes surgery and dentists are the worst. Prayers for a speedy recovery are heading your way. :D

Good luck to all of you admins.

ok

But i can still be worried... each of the admins has their own unique style of kicking. Some are gleeful, some are casual, but none are as ... um maniacal as you. So get well, take care, and keep a stiff upper lip.

(you knew there had to be at least one mouth pun in there right?)

Hey Freak, if it helps, those of uys who aren't Admins can try to help too. :P (Just Joking!)

As much as I hate to say it, it sucks to be Sava right now. Losing wisdom teeth: ow! Not that I'll ever know for sure. I'm never going to have/have never had/don't have wisdom teeth. Or my back bottom molars.

I guess that means I don't have wisdom. Oh well, at least I have Lego.

Thank you all for your support!

I can tell you that I am NOT looking forward to tomorrow. But if you'd like, I'd be happy to tell you what all is involved (I like to ask questions), just ask Freak :) I made him shudder and get very mad at me cause I kept talking about all the lovely things they will be and could be doing to me.

In any case, I shall report back when I am able, so I'll let you know how I handled it then.

Nervously till later...

oh the joys of getting the wisdom teeth removed. The only thing that bothered me was that i could barely eat for about a week. Other than that i just got to sleep a lot and do nothing.

Hey Anthony,

It's not always horrid. I had all four out one Christmas vacation when I was in college (great way to get in a holiday mood--finish final exams, then get your wisdom teeth out) (insert bad joke about the necessity of wisdom for doing well on exams here). I was on the couch for a couple of days, but after that was fine (though I was still eating mushy food for a while).
One warning, be sure to rinse out well. I had some food get trapped in one of the holes and the dentist had to clean it out so they could heal properly.
