You're going on your honeymoon instead of spending time with us?!? What could you possibly do during your honeymoon that would be more exciting than an evening on CC?
Ever have one of those experiences where you transpose letters, misread a line, or somehow get the wrong message? I read the subject line for a second as "My impending abstinence."

Well, we've had a minor tradegy here, now.

Christina's Step-mother, one of two people scheduled to walk her down the isle, fell last night. She's in the hospital now, with a possible broken pelvis. She was in quite a lot of pain, some of it necessary unfortunately. While she didn't break the replaced hip she has, she also doesn't have functioning kidneys, so she couldn't have pain medication until after she was done dialysizing (sp?). She blaims herself terribly for 'ruining' the wedding.

I would ask the C-C community to please pray for her speedy recovery. Walking Christina down the isle isn't important to us anymore, just so long as she get's better. We can only hope that she'll be released in time for the wedding so that she'll stop blaiming herself.

I'll remember her in my prayers until you tell us she is feeling better. Reassure her that it isn't her fault and that she isn't ruining the wedding, some of our elders hold on to too much unnecessary guilt. I hope the rest of the wedding is a happier occasion.

Your Step-Mother-in-law-to-be has our sympathies.

And our prayers.

(Although I believe that that might be prohibited by our charter rules, or something. Anyone mind?)

Thank you all for your prayers and support. Sue (Christina's Step-Mother) got out of the hospital, and though she cannot walk on her own yet, she can comfortably sit in a wheel chair. She may not get to walk Christina down the isle, but she will be able to be there at the wedding and participate as best she can.

Wow, I'm getting pretty nervous now. Earlier today I was fine, but now... whew... getting down to the wire. I don't even know how much sleep I'll be getting tonight, I've so much left to do :(

Oh well, the day really isn't about me, it's about Christina, right? I mean, all I care about is that at the end of the day, I'm married to the most wonderful woman I've ever met, and anything else that happens, as long as it doesn't interfere, is fine by me.

Anyway, off to go do my list of last minute things. Next time you all see me, I will no longer by Anthony Sava, cool single guy, but rather, Anthony Sava, cool married guy. Woo! :)
