'Cause I'm leaving to be in pain...

Postby plums_deify » Tue Sep 20, 2005 3:57 pm

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside my door
I hate to have to post to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
My Dad is waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so nervous, I could die

So post for me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll laugh for me
Hold my place like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving to be in pain!
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, CC, I hate to go...

Yeah. I'm having my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow at 10:30 AM. I might be browsing, but I'll not be doing much chatting or posting. It's the pain killers, you see. Oxycotin is a seriously heavy one. That, and I don't want to be held responisble for what I might say. ;)

I'll be gone for a week or so. Or whenever I can get off the painkillers and back to normal. :)

So, have fun ya'll. Behave while I'm gone! :P

Bye until then. I wonder what it is like getting them pulled.

Good luck with that Darkie. I feel really sorry for anyone who has to be subjected to that nightmare. Every time I go on the slab, I'm phyiscally and mentally broken.

Good luck again... :|

Dont worry too much. It aint that bad. As long as they knock you out I had mine done a few years back and I couldnt eat solid foods for a couple of days but then again I was more interested in sleeping and doing nothing anyways. Good luck. See ya when ya get back. Con the parentals into a lego for recovery.

Ditto on that. It usually works.

I've had teeth pulled, and it's not that bad if you're out.

Good Luck and God Bless,

You'll be fine Darkie, just sit down with some LEGO and build... then laugh at your creations once you've sobered up. Remember, the best part of the surgery is: the narcotics afterward. And having people wait on you, too.

Hey, maybe you should chat on the oxycotin. Maybe Nate could get you to say something that he can use against you. :)

Actually, it isn't bad if they don't knock you out. I wasn't knocked out (laughing gas and Novocain) and I only used my Tylenol with codeine once, converted to plain Tylenol right after. Sure you can't really eat anything tough for a few days, but then soft food isn't bad. Any excuse for ice cream is always a good thing. Just remember to do your salt water stuff, infections are not good. Good luck!

They overmedicated me and I don't remember the three days after I got my wisdom teeth out. Heh heh...

Good luck Darkie! (Or welcome back, whenever you read this.)

I had two wisdom teeth pulled last summer. They didn't knock me out at all, only local on the gums and nitrous in my lungs.

I felt a little bit of pain when the needle was stuck in, and when the took broke free, but it wasn't anything too terrible.

And the pain afterward wasn't too bad, but I had Vicodin.

The only really bad part of the whole ordeal, the only real complaint I have...

(scroll down if you have a strong constitution)

----------------------------------

When the two teeth, both of them, finally broke loose, they 'popped' loose. I could actually feel the pop in my head. I could literally feel the nerve endings in the roots of my teeth snap.

Gives me the jibblies just thinking about it....

...jibbly....

----------------------------------

(end buffer zone)

You have my sympathies!

Mine were all impacted: fragmented and still in the gums. It took me a week to recover because they had to cut into the gums and go fishing. For all "4" of them. I was zombified for days, but my mother fed me chocolate malt Ovaltine shakes for dinner.

I never had my wisdom teeth pulled... but I heard that it's no picnic. Best of luck with that - I hope it's not too trying!

Hope to see you soon...

I have two lower wisdom teeth that are impacted and my dentist told me they would have to break my jaw to fish them out. I decided I'd rather live with a little pain once in a while rather than have my jaw wired shut for two months.

Hopefully your experience will be better than that. Good luck,

Will
