I tried to scale it roughly, but kongutahu's link gives a nice 3D veiw.

I've got a table of size (in studs) that I cannot copy here since the formatting doesn't allow tables.
How different are the heights of each floor? The fact that the new building is 2 full stories plus the attic story compared to the 2002's 1 full story plus the attic story account for most of the height difference.

I'm considering using the new set not as a blacksmith but as an inn where it could compare pretty favorably with my wharf-side inn:

Obviously it's a more detailed structure, but not SO detailed that it wouldn't fit my display if it was not placed right next to the other structures.

I'd say it would fit nicely against that large building on the right.

This set is pretty big when compared to Previous Castle sets. An inn would be a good use as it would mess with scale in a castle as a Blacksmith/house - at least in mine and most MOCs I’ve seen.

What I kind of find funny is some of the initial complaints about this set is that it deviated too far from the original Idea (that’s fair) and was much smaller. It might actually be a few studs shorter or skinnier but the thing is plenty big. I really dig it - and the parts selection is fantastic.

I measured everything and yeah, it is just a bit shorter and plenty big overall. I think it is a great size for anyone who has other medieval MOCs, but I can see how it is too big compared to other castle sets.

Just a heads up, the tan horse is currently available on Bricks & Pieces at Lego.com.
