impulse sets?
Minifigs aren't cheap for LEGO to make. And we also can't forget about the accesories and rare parts included, like the garbage can, round 4x4 plates, orange parts, and more.

The box picture hasn't changed, but if you look at the giant wizard below the actual sets you will note that: The wizard's hat has gold and blue stars as opposed to the white ones seen on the box, also he ha printing on his legs. Perhaps this is evidence that the guard will in fact have a new torso and just maby, a silver bullet helm, that helmet is the one armor piece I realy need.

These images are preliminary so accessories could change. If armor is included, it likely will be the same type as in the Mine set without printing. Not printing the armor would save cost in a small set like this.lil Jon wrote:Do you think that the armor that comes with the solider is the same silver armor that came with the Dwarf mine and not just pearl gray without the print?
I need to obtain a lot of the new silver armor, it's so awesome.

The images did look pretty finished though. Not nearly as prototype-y as some other pictures we've seen. I'd be surprised if they had any significant differences.architect wrote:These images are preliminary so accessories could change. I hope the armor isn't printed... but a new torso would be nice...

New Knight torso... Kind of a mixed bag for me... It looks cool, but then a again, it doesn't match the rest of my knight collection.
EDIT: These have been taken from the S@H website, so the impulse set's will be available for order!

That wizard set would be a pain to have multiples of, but as a unique fig (umm... he IS unique, right?), he's pretty cool looking.Dr. J wrote:Found these new pictures on BS today.

The other set is a beauty, though. A regular soldier with extra suits of armour? Can you say "army builder"?
I can! "Army builder, army builder, army builder!"
i love the new torso! i think it's useful as a peasant torso too.

I don't know, bought together (and with an extra set of legs) the wizard could serve well as a body onto which you could put the armor from the other set. Besides... trans yellow frog... can't go wrong with a trans yellow frog.

I think this may warrant a new thread. I'd have missed this, if it hadn't been reposted on fbtb... I'd just assumed someone was dredging up old threads...Dr. J wrote:Found these new pictures on BS today.

On a substantive note, its nice to see a new torso on the knight (though I'm going to have to buy multiples now... ). The wizard I'm not so keen on. I like the sand blue, though I don't like the printing on the hat. The face is so so, I prefer the standard smiley with the beards. And I've got enough a white beards, why couldn't it be black or red? The pants are very nice.
Are we sure its a frog? It kind of looks like one, but it also kind of looks like a cone that's been distorted by the ball?SavaTheAggie wrote: Besides... trans yellow frog... can't go wrong with a trans yellow frog.

You know what, that's a good point. I could see it being a cone, or even a jewel, if you look at both pictures... too bad... it would have been nice to have a trans-yellow frog (if it isn't one).Athos wrote:Are we sure its a frog?
