Those heads have been around since the first round of KKII. I have one of them, and they do lookrather odd. Most heads don't have that sort of "color blending".
Yeah, but there's packaging costs to think of et al.
Yea, unfortunately they decided to package this in a box instead of a bag.
I think it would be cheaper to just package tiny sets like this in a plastic bag....for example:

The knight impulse set has 1 fig but only like 20 pieces total.
Based on that, I'd say it will be $3.99 or less.
how quickly they forget the little SW micro vehicle sets very few pieces but high price,as it goes the sets should retail for about $3.99 at most places but $5.99 at TRU albeit these prices are circumspect and a possibility of them being as high as $4.99 retail and $6.99 TRU
You're kidding. These things should be like alternates to candy bars in grocery stores; putting them at such a high price point would ruin the purpose.

It's not quite as cheap as I'd hoped, but it still isn't too bad. I'll have to get a couple when I go up to the LEGO stores in Chicago at the end of December.

I just checked my Walmart, and they have no idea when the impulse sets are coming in. They did say though, that the Lego sets are flying of the shelves, particularly the castle sets, which I was happy to hear.

Now that's interesting. I'm actually kind of surprised to hear that, with that big Chinese paint scandal going on. My local newspaper showed testimonies from several parents saying that they would categorically refuse to buy anything made in china. And while we all know that Lego is safe and made in a different process, many do not, and would boycott Lego along with the rest of all other Chinese made toys. If you factor in an estimate for how many people are choosing against Lego for something "safer," then this new line could turn out to be incredibly popular. Also it's interesting to notice that now, after the "original" themes have some sort of counterpart (town, castle, and space) Lego is selling very well.
