Reversed? Could you elaborate a little more about this? Do you mean on the box, the flag was pointing the opposite direction than it should? :?

Did you try turning it over/around?

if you look at this picture above.
it is normal flag and waves go down-up-down-up

and my def./rev. flag is up-down-up-down

i will take picture later tonight... but i think you understand now what i have

so you mean that the flag 'waves' are in reverse order than normal. That is odd. I do not think I have ever heard of that happening before. Are all the flags in that set like that?

exactly. waves are reversed.

nope, just one (gold) flag in only 1 set that i both 2 days ago. other 5 sets (7009) are 100% normal.

I wonder if this happened with any other colors.

Don't worry, this has happened to me too.

I'm slightly luckier/unluckier though. I have a reversed gold and a reversed dark blue flag. One came from the final Joust, one from my King's Castle Seige.

These things happen.

This is so cool. I never looked at my flags as I assumed they would all be the same. How is it possible for the mold to make one in the opposite direction. These are made with a plastic mold correct? Maybe a small percentage are made wrong on purpose? I have to watch the science channel and see the episode about how legos are made.

Now I am going to have to look at the hundreds of flags I have to see if any are reversed... :? Has anyone ever noted anything similar with older flags?

If this is indeed true (and it seems strange that it would be), then it's likely a change we'll be seeing that *ALL* flags will eventually be reversed. It's not possible for them to accidentally mold some flags backwards and others forwards, since you'd need a completely new mold to do it.

It is possible (though I find it terribly unlikely) that they made a new mold for the flags, either accidentally or intentionally, and we're starting to see the results of the new molds integrated into sets. But for the moment, I'm (sorry) still skeptical that these pieces are truly reversed and not just upside-down or something. I'll be a lot more convinced when I see some pictures of both normal and reversed flags side by side, or see some in person.

Is it possible the wavy flags are molded flat like a pennant on a wall, and then dropped in some sort of die that presses in the waves? If so, I guess it would be possible for a flag or two to be seated wrong.

I will be interested to see a picture of this. I'm also going to go through my pennants tonight and check them out.

I do know that replacement molds are not always the same as the originals. These horses, for example. The horse in the middle is the normal horse, the two outside ones are not.
