I am very courious about the US retail price since the set's part count is kind of low.

Lets look at 7029, with a part count of what 635. The ship is at 493, so if it retails above 70 i'll be quite unhappy.

They charge alot for those big molded (dare I say juniorized?) pieces.
P.S. If you need help making MOCs, making posts, or don't know what to do next, please, let me know! I'm here to help! ;)

true enough

But the viking ship had some big molded hull sections yet a good over all cost to brick ratio.

Granted it had fewer figs and no giant troll or dragon.

There is a nice comprehensive review over at eurobricks. I don't feel like trying to find the link to it right now, but you should be able to find it pretty easily.

You can pre-order it from many retail websites (not LEGO S@H yet) and the prices all reflect what you see here on Entertainment Earth's web pre-order selection from LEGO. It's priced at $79.99.

Umm...probably not. If the pre-order is $80, then the price is $80. They don't charge more for pre-orders.

Well it looks like this set is out of my price range. Do the Crownies have a ship set yet? It looks like the Skellies and Orcs have complete control of the Seas at the moment.

that is true (LEGO KNIGHT) the crownies don't have any ships for the theme at the moment. I wonder if they will in 09 or maybe the will have control over something else 8)

This set is priced high $69.99,compared to the Viking ships $49.99 but I still plan on buying this set. It is weird that that the Knights have a habor but no ship, althought it will great to attack it with the Troll Ship.

Yes, the knights need a ship! A harbour akin to 6277 Imperial Trading Post (only mediaeval instead of pirate-era, obviously) would be nice, too.
