Peasents
I wonder why that in all of its years Lego has had only about half-a-dozen sets with peasents. I think it would be neat to have a line of sets with commoners. Does anyone know of a set with mostly commoners besides the blacksmith shop.
I build, therefore I am.
Brave words coming from a guy called grapenuts.

Commoner's aren't as exciting as knights and warriors would be my explanation. Wouldn't be much demand, amongst children anyway, for a gong farmer set, now would there?
Here are some sets I know of with peasants:
Smuggler's Hayride #1974

Knights Challenge #1584

Castle Minifigs #6103

Supply Wagon #6010

Those are the ones that come to my mind,
Steve

LEGO castles don't have peasents. But thanks to the SW sets, you can easily make them. A lot of the SW torso and hoods are great for that. Bought a lot of them only for that.

I thought this discussion was about peasants, and not about too many pitchforks
Anyway, a peasant-line would be great. That would make the medieval-scene complete: A castle, a farm/peasant village, and sherwood-forest.
but i don't think TLC will ever create a peasant-line.

Lego Castle has centered around the castle itself. not the medievel town. Thus most of the figs are warrios and knights. It is harder to get peasants because this, but it is better than the alternative.
What if Lego Castle sets had knights and peasants in their proper ratios? It would be almost impossible to create a large army

You can always use torso pieces from other minifigures to make peasants.
