Hmm have any of you noticed the shield design? It is very similar to the Crusaders. Kinda scary.

I still think they look like playmobile. They would be pretty cool if they were minifig scale. The handaxes look too big for minifigs. Looks like they stand about the height of said fig. The arabalest looks like it might have potential, but it would take a while to get enough of them for anything.

Looking over the parts, there are a couple that look both interesting and useful for castle. First is the brick with the inverse slope/arches. Second is the crenelation brick/plate. Both would be useful if employed in large quantities and, of course, lots of regular bricks to 'flesh it out'.

The most interesting one, to me, is the wall unit along the base. It looks like it is actually a hinged piece, with a door in one panel and a window in the other panel. My guess is that it can be placed either with the panels at 90 degrees to each other, as in the photos, or in a straight line.

Has anyone else noticed that about that wall piece? or have a different explanation for it?

What's your point: classic Lego swords (often used as short swords), are up to a fig's shoulder, the great sword is as tall as he is. (And while some swords may have done that in real life, the majority wouldn't have, I think). And just think about those classic pirate pistols.

My point is that all Lego accessories tend to be oversized. What I was wondering is if these weapons would fit a minifig's hand?

No no, the handles must be way to thick for a minifigs hand.
But maybe you could use this Duplo-knights as giants

Nice to see that they are back on track when it comes to heraldry though.

I don't think any of us will be able to implement any of these materials into our existing minifig universe, as being Duplo, they are all going to be much too big.

For those of you in doubt, just look at the brown plate under the cauldron: the hollow studs show it to be unmistakably Duplo brick; that means by extension, the figs along with their accessories will be much too big for your average minifigs (meaning they won't be able to grip it).

The only exception might be the dragon... in which case the bigger is always the better.

I could see using the Black soldiers for giants and perhaps the gates could be used as well. Duplo is somewhat compatible with 2 x bricks so the gates could be incorporated. I have a son who still builds with Duplo occasionally so I may purchase one of these just to test the theory.

This is quite a sphipher indeed. Te figs do not look like duplo, lego or jack stone. also, has anyone else noticed that on the castle, the walls look thin. PAPER-THIN!!

one of the coolest thing about these, even if they are terible for our colections is that this is a great castle starter set for my 3 year old son to start with. He will no longer have to destroy my guys to play lego swords.

Looks alot like Megabloks or playmobile. Looks like some cool pieces. One thing is. Why does lego give the prescoolers better stuff than we get(Talking about kk2)? It's just not fair :cry:
