which I found by following a link from the Castle Customs page here.

It's a guy named Roaglaan - if you check out the work he has in progress, it looks very much like the "queen" desgn AND the "troll/orc shaman" design might be from him.

I just hope he's copying them from Lego pictures and that they really are coming out next year.
i think you should do your own research before coming to a conclusion.

if you read my post carefully, you will find that I did NOT come to a conclusion.

I happen to have been browsing the custom section earlier and noticed the designs. What I DID say, was that the designs looked very much like the queen and shaman and that the design "might" - (please note the word MIGHT) have come from him.

And considering that there was nothing posted on his page to indicate that he was re-creating the LEGO designs, I think it was a logical mistake to make.

As for research, is there any thread mentioning that Roaglaan was attempting to copy them ?

personally, I find your reply condescending and just a touch arrogant

Assassin, was this your post? If so you may want to rethink your haughty answer regarding the reception it received. You said what you said, no arguing about it.

Hey Assassin,

The queen figure was presented at BrickCon, a LEGO convention held in Seattle at the start of October. She was part of a presentation by LEGO representatives where they had a "beauty pageant" with several upcoming female minifigs from various themes, including some that have already shown up in sets (the pirate ones that have already hit the stores). Participants were able to take home these figs, and photos have shown up on the web. This was definitely an official announcement from LEGO, just as when they reveal new sets at fan conventions, not a fan creation. There is a list of the figs that were presented and links to photos of several of them in this thread. The pirates sets have already shown up in stores and in this gallery you can see, for instance, the governor's daughter fig and the mermaid fig in the context of an actual set.

And also Assassin, Roaglaan is a member here. He/she makes custom torso stickers based on official figures.

I, for one, am thinking this minifig is rather incredible. She is highly detailed, very well designed, and quite beautiful. Yes, she is different than other queens and princesses, which makes her valuable because she is unique.

But, must we make these semi-crude statements?
