I think this is indeed the first post about the Dwarf battle pack. It and the new troll/orc one were mentioned in the Dear Lego battlepacks post though but no one made an individual topic of it yet from what I have seen.

Either way an awesome new battlepack. I think this will help those trying to get more dwarves on the field considering how few are out. This and the new troll/orc one are nice additions. I was hoping to get them when I went to Legoland but they only had the old crownie and skellie ones.

I like the different dwarf minifigs. The orc/troll one has almost two identical ones...

There have been a few comments about it in this thread. Its in Dear Lego so that may be why not as many people have seen it. Its on Page Two of that thread, btw.

Cool. I like this battlepack. I'm glad that there are more of the non-winged helms then winged helms, and I can always use more barrels, torches (brown carrots) and ore nuggets. Would have liked to see the introduction of a new beard color as the black, brown and orange are getting repetitive. Even if they swaped the colors of the different styles. A bluish grey dwarf beard would be awesome!

Not bad. I'm excited to be able to amass more dwarves, but it only seems to come with three axes. (I think the other two dwarves have a pickaxe and a shovel.) Uneven figure-to-weapon ratios bug me. But I turn most of the my axes into single-headed ones anyway, so getting a couple extra axe handles per battle pack would solve the problem. And the wingless helmets are cool-- short of the mine and the troll warship, you can't find them. Then again, I just named two of the three sets that feature dwarves at all, so I guess it's not that bad.

Hmm... dwarves with guns. Somehow I failed to even think of that. I'll have to dig out some of my old pirate guns and see how it looks.

I was able to look at this Dwarf Battle Pack and the Troll Battle Pack this weekend at Brickworld. They were only available at the discovery center, and not regular LEGO Brand Stores. Both packs look nice and should save castle army builders a good deal of money.

Well me in particular wont be getting one as I already have nine dwarves (from one set  ) and my lego salary is barely enough to buy normal sets, let alone battlepacks. But I can definitely see the appeal of them and I am glad they made them. However, the direction these sets are going is starting to worry me. They seem to be focused on minifigs more than anything else.

I get more put off by the fact the battlepacks keep going up in price. Here in the UK they started at £6.50 now they are nearly £9.... very odd when our money is gaining faster than most currencies, even the Danish Kroner, to get a price increase. I have not bought a single one since it went up, I will have to get a few of these, maybe one each, but if it were less I'd have likely gotten at least two of each at the least.

I was surprised to see them for $15 in the states but the dollar dropped so much to the kroner I can see it somewhat... Hopefully once it regains some of its footing they will drop the prices some. If it were about $10-12 I’d think it’d be a much more appealing price. Maybe they should stop putting them together and sell them in a bag or box instead of the flashy expensive wrap they are in? I remember the good old days the minfig packs were about $6-7. I had to get at least one as they came out once I found them!

I do indeed like that they are putting more of the wingless helmets into the pack. Originally I was not sure about those massive helmets. That said they have grown on me still but I’d like more of my dwarves to be in the wingless ones but right now they are in the majority still (all those dwarf mine defenders!).

I wonder, has anybody seen if the new battlepacks have printing on both sides of the torso? Of the new castle sets I've only bought the chariot, and I noticed the king has printing on both sides, but the other mini-figs did not. Just wondering if at some point all the crown mini-figs will have printing on both sides and maybe that''s part of the price increase? *shrug*

Yes, yes, yes!! Much more appealing! Especially the $10 price! I may buy two for that price! Whereas with this price...should I even buy one? Right now, I hate the thought of buying it for that price...

15/5=3....basically, $3 a fig....ouch. Doesn't that strike anyone else as ridiculus?
Just think too...that's the same price ($15) as a large PAB...

God bless you all!
