another interesting question...

The Guardian of the Citidel of Orlan appears to be helping
out Jayko in the comics (I got a set in the Vladek's Encounter)...

On Lego's website, the Guardian appears to be a bad guy and helping out Vladek.

Any thoughts... or are they 2 different people?

Maybe the Guardian is playing both sides at the middle?

I think the guardian wants to make sure the person who claims the heart of the shield (or whatever they're there for) is worthy of it, so the guardian will have to challenge the knight. Then the guardian would help the knight if he was worthy.

Naaah! He just picks the guy with the ugliest color and is happy he's rid of the Megablocks thing :)
*And the bulls arrive in kk2*
Cedric the bull: "Hahaha Leo we're here to- wtf?"
*and the bulls see some happy knights bouncing at each other with carts*
Cedric (shocked): "I guess we got the wrong KK''
Bull soldier (frightened): "Lets go back"

Soon the only knight in the Kingdom would be...

Sir John of Maine, a cash-desperate KK1 hired-hand.

The poor Guardian would be out of victims. (And he can't leave the kingdom, or Majisto will flay him alive.)

The guardian wants to please everyone. Maybe he's running for office...

To me I think everyone except the King And his jellybean Knights are 'bad guys'

Personally, I think NONE of them are badguys: they're jsut a band of guitar-picking, wildly-dressing friends, who were tragically misunderstood by society (the original KK), and were banished into the New Grey Wilderness under Thing Matthias.

Unfortunately, he and his best friend, Vladek, argued over the course of the Thingdom, and have gone to war. But inbetween battles, they still like to get together and roast multi-coloured marshmallows around rainbow fires, because inspite of their differences, they are still one big, happy, multi-cultural, tolerant family.

Blahhhhhhhhhh....

I feel sick.

Me too. :?

I think that TLC hasn't bothered to make a coherent story for everything, including this.

I think the guardian might be a long lost relative of Majisto (OK, he has to be barely related, like a third cousin thrice removed). In any case, I dislike (hate is too strong of a word) when the Lego Company makes up stories for their sets. What ever happened to the "only you can decide" or "just imagine" when you had to make up your own stories about the sets.

Yeah. that's true. I do'nt like the official story lines either.

It would be nice to have a relative to the old wizard, maybe they are as close as brothers, the you could have a story of why the both serve different masters. (The DM's and the jelly bean//power rangers)

I think that this guardian of Orlan is, well the guardian of Orlan with means he's guarding Orlan what ever that is, but apparently it's very important to the knights, so importnant that they will pass any dagner to get it. Or maybe the guardian him self is what they want, maybe he is Orlan him self.
I'm back, and so is Castle!

I think that Orlando pulled the short straw on the deal. I mean, at least Majisto got a cool theme, with smart warriors, and some respect, even if their sets are poor, their colours are laughed at, and they live in a desert.

At least he avoided Orlando's fate.

Doomed for all eternity to guard a (blech!) place from jellybeans.

I'm starting to feel sick again.

According to the "Book of Morcia(ooh doesn't that sound important) the gaurdian is an apparently immortal wizard whose task it is to gaurd the 'Citadel of Orlan' wherein lies the 'Heart of the Shield'.
