I got the impression from the news that they simply wanted a sub-name for the current Castle line; the current series has been termed "Fantasy Era" by fans, yet the only official name I've seen is "Castle" (so is it officially "Lego Castle: Castle"??). While I don't think anybody has a problem distinguishing it from classic Lego Castle, or any of the sub-themes that could be identified by their factions (Fright Knights, Forestmen, Crusaders, etc.) it would make sense for it to have a proper official sub-theme name.
BTW, hi, I'm new on here.

Personally I don't mind what they call it. We've had lots of name changes. Whatever they want to call it, I'll buy it.

It was acceptable in the eighties. Calvin Harris told me so.

To repeat what I said on Eurobricks, I for one don't give a hoot what they call it as long as we keep getting cool medieval sets.

A bright side of this proposed name change could be that LEGO has (a) new faction(s) planned for the upcoming years. :)

I suppose. A Return of the Black Falcons could get TLC bucket-loads of money, because I'd sure buy out the whole line. Well, as long as they make more than just 4 sets in a year ( ) then I'm OK.
