Hello!
By the way, the website you always link in your signature is not safe. TLC (The LEGO Company) doesn't allow LEGO-related websites from private users having "lego" somewhere in the URL (web address). You should change that.
And the signature picture you use in the forum seems to be taken from my BrickShelf folder. I don't remember you to have asked me if you are allowed to use it, but of course I might be wrong.
Bye
Jojo
Whatever it is, you poor boy most likely didn't live to see the real Castle sets ;)It is castle, does it matter if its with the classic castle? It is CASTLE, or maybe that thing they call a castle is a boat house?

Ninja is Castle, its set numbers were in Castle. Japan had Castles (fortified buildings with residence, as the definition of a Castle is), its just that it wasn't European based.Robin Hood wrote:I don't know if anyone thought of this, but I bet when Ninja was first out, it was seperet from castle, and I am pretty sure that some people think that Ninja is part of castle. Just a thought I had.
Daimyos = Lords
Samurai = Knights
and etc.
I wish they'd make a new definite Castle line though. 2005!!! No more Harry Potter!!! Perhaps it can be Mid-East based this time? Take full advantage of the scimitars, the return of round shields, and etc. :idea:

TLC is sometimes slow to pick up the political climate, but this one has been around for a while. I doubt they will be deving into the Mid-East any time soon. I would love t see a Return to Japan though. You can never have enough ornamental fish.

So.....if KK2 is not Castle, why did Jojo place it in the Lego Castle forum instead of Lego General?
Freudian slip?
Is Jojo just trying to give the Admins fits - are they being played or should they switch the forum or is this just a logic trap?
For that matter, is Bad Castle Castle nevertheless?
Can I complete a sentence without punctuating it with a smiley?

Smilies are fun.
Sometimes I really have to restrain myself from using to many.
I think that once the dust settles in history, KKII will be considered castle. Poorly designed, overpriced castle, but castle nonetheless.
It is sad really, one day we may look back at this line and laugh and say what were they thinking. Of course if they continue to progressively design worse sets as history has shown us since 1996, we might be looking back at KKII wishing we'd bought more since the new sets are so much worse. :|

You are probably right. I even found myself thinking that the Fright Knights were a usable and nice Castle faction with great castles and stuff. Except for the Witch's Windship 6037, of course.wlister wrote:Of course if they continue to progressively design worse sets as history has shown us since 1996, we might be looking back at KKII wishing we'd bought more since the new sets are so much worse. :|

I have to disagree with you on this point. KK2 has some useful functions, but I prefer to look at it this way. If you have, lets say, $100 that you want to spend on Lego, there are countless other ways to spend it rather than to invest in "The castle of Morcia" (if that's what its called). While prices may have inflated over the years for older sets in regard to their value, it is sometimes possible to nab a 6080 on Ebay for that price. If you are looking for pieces, BL is an obvious answer. You tell me what the better investment was in the end. As for me, I have chosen simply to ignore the new line. Lets face it - the sets stink. I really see no value in the line besides Valdek's helmet.wlister wrote:It is sad really, one day we may look back at this line and laugh and say what were they thinking. I'm really sorry about this rant, but I am disappointed and perplexed at the stance TLC is taking. They are undoubtedly capable of producing good sets - those Sculpture sets, the Maserik Sealiner, and the new Ferrari line are witness to that. However, they continue to shovel garbage at us in other themes. I hope you see the point I am trying to make.
