didn't know where else to mention this, so hope I'm using the right section. Anyway, I reason this will be of interest to you all, since we've been receiving emails from brickfilmers about it for nearly a decade!

Our film Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGO, which we made with TLG, features one particular character who has proven very controversial over the years. The Bedevere character who sports a rare and unusual helmet. The helmet is a full production LEGO piece that has never featured in any set, so the minifig is a piece of LEGO history in more ways than one.
Anyway, after years of folks asking, we are finally making him available.

That's all. But since its a one-time thing I thought you might like to know.
It's quite expensive, listed at £900. Thoughts?

Pretty cool. I wonder why he's decided to unload it? I wouldn't be surprised if it goes for much more than 900 pounds, someone a couple weeks ago paid $10k for a rare nintendo game.

No offense to the guy who made it, but for what you get, that's way to expensive. Maybe for someone who is a die hard fan of the brickfilms maybe, but £900? I used a money transfer thing, and I got $1,406.690 USD. Almost 1.5k? No offense, but I've seen better Bedeveres than that one...and with the new availability of the new helmet, why get it when you can make your own...?

Just my thoughts...

Wonder if you could buy it, legally make a make a mold from it and legally sell copies of it. Sure to make your money back that way.

Just to make sure you were all paying attention, that is an official LEGO production element. It's a one-off for their project using what I always assumed was a classic Space helmet from the 1978-1982 Minifigures. That may be wrong, but LEGO made the face-plate special for this, from a yet unused again mold. That thing is more rare and desirable than your red Darth Vader helmets or white pine trees.

Meh, I'd rather go with a BF great helm, or the official one when it is released.

Also, at $1.5K which could be used to pay bills, or buy 40,000 more lego pieces, that isn't desirable to me at all.

Yeah, way too expensive. But rather cool nonetheless. I remember when the movie first came out and what arguments were spawned over that helmet.

I would like to have it....but not for 900 pounds.

I wonder what TLG's stance will be on selling this prototype element? I have seen a number of these visors in person in Billund. They are neat but a bit large for a minifigure.

I doubt that a collector would pay that much for this single figure. Perhaps if they were selling all of the figures from the LEGO Monty Python movie in one auction, a collector would pay 900 GBP.

I wouldn't (and couldn't :tasty: ) buy it for over $1000, but I would definitely pay 20 or so dollars for it. I probably will never see one in person, but I'll have my nerdy dreams :D

Yeah really, for that kind of money I'd expect nothing less than 300 - 400 very well equipped, rare parts/colors soldiers.
