I've just been to the What's New at S@H page, and guess what's up? :)

Only the 7949 Prison Carriage Rescue, oddly.

I casually walked through the toy section at a Wal Mart in Saskatoon Saskatchewan... They had dozens of the 7949 set. I grabbed 2 :D So much detail and the dark pearl armour and weapons  Well done LEGO!

Apparently, they are sold out or something @ my local intertoys... can't seem to find 'em... Have to go to Nederweert sometime to visit the TRU and see if they are available there.

I got the two impulses, the prison carriage, and the Dragon Knight Prison Tower at my local Toys r Us yesterday, after going to see Robin Hood. Yeah, it was a good day.

They've got them all up now. All the main-line sets for the initial release anyhow, none of the impulses or the battlebacks seem to be up yet.

Unless it's just me that can't find it, I can't seem to locate the Dragon Kingdom battle pack. Which is odd, since the Dragons are pretty much the one you need battle packs for, due to not having many in the sets.

I normally don't pay much attention to S&H, do they usually post the two battle packs at different times?

Probably so we'll buy the ones with the helms we don't really want in this assortment, and to get rid of the Pink ones first.

Well, not on S&H, at least. I saw the Dragon pack in stores. I was just a little confused about why it's not up yet.

I find it interesting there are subdued fantasy elements still in this new castle line. I'm not sure whether the horses are supposed to be unicorns or just horses wearing head armor with a spike on it. The microsite pages for 7948 Outpost Attack, 7949 Prison Carriage Rescue, and 7950 Knight’s Showdown actually have a dragon flying in the background of the animated product photo. Makes me happy. I know a lot of folks were glad to return to human vs. human factions, but I miss the fantasy aspect (unless the horses are in fact unicorns...)

What I think is being done here is sort of a compromise. The theme is human-human, but there are elements thrown into the mix. Similar to older LEGO factions.

Although it leaves me wondering if more factions will be introduced later in the timeline of this theme. Castle Fantasy went from 2 factions to 4 in 2008, and I wonder if Kingdoms is going to take the same route. If so, it would prove to be quite interesting.
