I hereby request suggestions for what the heck we, as fans, will dub these two new castle factions.

Some out there already refer to Crusaders as "Lion Knights"... Lion Crest Knights? Do we have to delve into the dreaded "sequel" names (like Blacktron 2, or KK2)? Crusaders 2?

The new green knights could just be the Dragon Knights, I suppose, although there's room for confusion with the Dragon Masters...

I think referring to them as "The Red Lions" and "The Green Dragons" works for me.

I bet that a good number of people will simply call them the Lion and Dragon Knights; just as people did when the first Lion and Dragon factions were released in the 1980s. There's still confusion between the original Lions and the Royal Knights which followed later with some people referring to the newer theme as 'Lions' while others call the older faction 'Lions'. As far as I can tell, most North American fans refer to the old Lions as 'Crusaders' owing to a single catalogue which describes them as such. I'll always call these guys the Lions but I suppose it makes just as much sense to call any of the lion-themed factions 'Lions'. Heck, you might even argue that the the older factions should be "Crusaders", "Royal Knights" and "Black Knights" leaving the name 'Lion' and 'Dragon' available for use with the new figures.

With the printing problems with the new figures, I propose the name "Pink Lions" or "Friends of the Pink Panther" for the new faction.

I'm actually surprised they don't have a web page for these guys yet... I would've figured it'd be "lego.com/kingdoms" or "kingdoms.lego.com" or something, but I can't find anything yet. I wonder if LEGO has any internal or otherwise "official" names for these guys...

I say, let what is going to happen anyway, happen. Names will eventually be applied to these factions, whether we consciously choose them or not. We've seen it before, and we'll see it again. If we don't happen to use whatever names TLC gives us, we'll just end up with our own. Like the Crown Knights. We never specifically chose the name, nor did TLC ever state what the faction name was. It just happened. Let nature take it's course.

I make up my own faction/kingdom names anyways for the most part. It only is tricky when talking to someone unfamiliar with my own terms.

I go with generic as possible when talking to people on forums etc. Black Falcons, Dragon Knights and the like. I think Wolfpack and Dragon Masters are the only ones that I use their lego names both to descibe them and in my Legoverse.

Lions Knights might be different from the new faction by using Lion Kingdom... I like that actually.

I like the Lion Kingdom, but strangely enough I don't like the Dragon Kingdom as much. Perhaps I've already bought into the Dragons as a poor beggar group of knights and how could they have a whole Kingdom?

Not that I would want it as a official name, but I have started to call my dragons the "chain gang". I have actually caught myself singing "chain gang" while putting them together.

Even though I pretty much grew up calling the original lion knights Crusaders, the new red/white faction reminds me more of actual crusaders. It must be their equipment? Sooo, seeing as I already have "crusaders" in my LEGOverse I'll probably be comfortable calling these guys "Lion Knights". As for the dragon faction, they may just become "The Dragons" to me because I don't really care for them much.

The Green Dragons is a nice name, but I'm afraid these guys will spend too much time drinking in Bywater.

lol! I like the pinkpanther's friends knights. the dragon dudes could be the norbert knights, doesn't their outpost have the norbert peice on it?

What's with all the Green Dragon hate? I think they are the better of the two, tbh. That is, except for the knights. They could use a different torso.
