Needless to say, I'm more than a bit disappointed with this development. I had hoped that LEGO would have done a better job sorting out this torso issue. Everything else about the calendar was stellar though.

Send their customer service an email and ask for replacement parts. I had a $5 off coupon for TRU and picked up another Knight's Showdown over the weekend only to find yet another pink torso as well. This is the third time it's happened to me and so far they've replaced all of them.

When you guys and gals mention the "pink" torso, are you referring to the white parts of the checkered torso being a bit pinkish? Or the entire torso is pinkish rather than white/red? My two lion figs from Knight's Showdown and Outpost Attack are both checkered but the white isn't exactly too prominent. Do I have the pinkish syndrome here?....

Yes.

The pink knight syndrome (pinkitus) has to do with paint application rather than the plastic itself. The white paint application is too thin making the knights appear pinkish. It's very disappointing because otherwise this line has been absolutely wonderful thus far.

Wow, am I the only one in the world who go a white one?

Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

No. I received my first white torso printed knight in my advent calendar from Shop at Home.

Oh good, I was starting to question my own sanity and I hate when that happens.

Mine came in the mail the other day and I am saving it for December, but I did cheat and open up day 19 to check and thankfully there was no sign of pink.

It sounds like you might just as well go ahead and open the rest. You can always get another one to open the official way. ;)

It seems like there's more good feedback than bad reviews for this set. I'm seriously considering spending the $35 for this. There's a few new figs in there for me that really looks great.

Just hope I get a white/red torso instead of pink.... :?

I am quite excited to pick this up for the advent season! The queen is especially nice, although it looks like every day is practically filled with mini-set goodness. Thanks for the 'reiview'!

Wow! I managed to get one (after beeing allowed to by my sweet half).
Well, I will wait until the 25 to side-open the box, since I don't want to open through the little blinds, otherwise I will be tempted to open all and every other before time.
I looked to the side of the box and saw there were a pig, very nice, but wondered if there were pink pigs in medieval era in my location? (britanny south borders)
There is a blacksmith too, my very first one, well, theorethically only (not sure about the spelling), because I will open it on christmas, and get my birthday/christmas gift (MMV) between december 1 and 25.
One more Wizard and magic wand, I'm not that much into fantasy, but I never get enough Wizards!
Seems that the queen's crown clips in a feather's hole, so we have a hair alternate for a queen with the native american girl's hair, since it is a light part, perhaps we can expect two in the bag.
I hope I won't have pinkitus, but if it is just one torso, this will do for a custom-made kind of jester, just have to find pink legs too.

I am guessing that once they are sold out on S@H for a given country, say USA, that LEGO won't be selling anymore until next year? I missed getting this set and did not want to get me hopes up.

I'm curious about this too- what's the chance of a restock this year? Zilch?

I'd guess this version of a Castle Advent Calendar will not be reissued, there may be further (already planned shipments) or they may be able to reallocate some from a different region to to those that have sold out already, perhaps even a quantity of 'lost' or misplaced sets, but it's unlikely to be reissued. I make said guess based on past experience, very few of this nature wind up reissued, although there is an example in the Winter Toy Shop that reappeared this year.
Build? I merely Acquire atm.
