Why?

Postby SPACE MARINE » Sun Nov 06, 2011 12:18 pm

OK, the Kingdoms line was doing pretty good. The Dragon knights looked kinda nasty, but everything was ambiguous. Now they've created character sheets, and even labled the Lions "good" and the Chainies "evil". Really Lego, couldn't you just let kids imagine?

I find it funny that they put the rat on the "Bad Guy" side.

That is funny. Maybe the designers like Red Wall.

But still, I really don't like the idea of Lego trying to tell people who's good and bad.

I don't believe that chicken is a good guy. I've never trusted him at all, he must be a double agent for bad. Let's fry him.

Dragon Knights own Kingdoms Knights (lion). The lion knights are dragon killers that distrust magic! For shame!

It shouldn't matter how LEGO defines them...it is up to the young kid, TFOL, or AFOL who buys them and brings them to life in their own LEGOverse. And let me tell you, I've known some evil chickens over the years. I don't trust them either... except for a good omlet, yumm!

I agree.. Long time ago they dont divide good side / bad side, as :
Crusaders are good, Black Monarchs are evils... But I dont think about Kingdom theme is the first step on this prejudice.
For me, it starting with movies licences (like Star wars). On theses stories, both sides of godd/evil already exists, and have to be represent in the sets.
Maybe not !? In Indiana Jones theme, there's no nazi soldiers...

Black Knights are "evil" for Lions Knights, not for the player.
Lego dont give a clue that Black Knights are deeply evil, as there were a torture room inside a black fortress...
Forgive me if sometimes I write in English as a robot...

Am I the only one disturbed by the noise the pig makes?
If I were to make something out of LEGOs, I would probably use LEGOs. Pretty advanced stuff going on up in my head.

ME? OFF TOPIC? Impossible. I'm sorry, but that is just outright ridiculous. *servant whispers something in the Almighty One's ear* Ah, yes... Well then, I suppose I should... Say something relevant... To prevent this comment from being totally pointless and irritating... I got nothin'.
EDIT: If it is any consolance (consolance?) to the admins, in response to a previous comment, I DO like fried chicken, so there. Bam, relevant. :)

I disregarded Lego's storyline entirely. They're both good guys, they fight under the Crownie banner (The Lion and Dragon leaders are nobles with alliegance to the King and have their own armies). My few Vikings are from the northern reaches of the Kingdom and also fight for the King. All of these guys fight against the Persian/Egyptian alliance or the Skeleton/Orc faction.
