Postby dyntar » Fri May 11, 2012 7:17 pm

Ok so I'm just reposting a link from a certain other European Brick site...

Who is the Queen on the dragons side?

No particularly new pieces but Kingdoms goes on!!!!

Why thank you for that link. EW that base is not a very happy thing but hey, someone will build with it. I would buy it.

Ugh, that base is bad. But with that many figs, the price is incredible.

Cool army building set, but that base is awful.

Woooo! I'm so excited! What a great price per fig! ($1.96 each after WA state sales tax and not counting the rooks) AND they're fully equipped!

I'll definitely be picking one of these up, if not more. :D

Love it! This one seemed to sneak under the RADAR ... I hadn't heard anything about it, and here it is. I couldn't help but order 5 right away as I suspect these will go fast. Anyone know what variation of armor is on the Dragon Knight Bishops? This set is an incredible value and an ultimate army builder (especially with the shields, weapons, and armor). Bravo LEGO! Now, how about a Roman themed Chess set? I can dream (though it would devalue all the Romans I already have, it would be worth it).

I guess TLG had some spare kingdom figs laying around then. Kidding, do you think this is what they meant by the Kingdoms theme continuing in 2012? I'd be happy with a kingdoms tic tac toe set as well for the figs.

Seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to give us a dragon knight King and Queen, and even a green jester. Those would have made it a 'must have', but this is an unexpected surprise. Will have to see if it pops up in the UK. And will be interested to see what people make from the base, someone is bound to get some NPU out of it.

On a side note, a CMF chess set would be amazing, but I guess we could just make our own!

Wow, what a surprise! This is also much cheaper than previous chess sets. Sure the base sucks, but hey, like AK said, it's less than 2 bucks a fig. Great news!
You would rather be building right now.

I would jump for joy if I didn't have stitches in my leg today :D
I thought Kingdoms was done but yes just what i wanted a Chess set and now TLG could we please have a Dragon Knights castle?
That base is horrifying why would TLG do such a thing and no Dragon King, Queen or Jester really stinks but still a great way to get figs at a decent price, maby TLG will do like they did with the Castle chess and do the small cheap one then a big awesome one, we can only hope.

:D Must have!

I know what I'll be getting in my next trip to the LEGO store. 2012 really is shaping up to be a great year in LEGO all around, but especially for us Castle builders. :)

EDIT 5/12: Slightly less excited to see that the Dragon Queen is just the MMV barmaid figure. :? I've got more than enough of those from various sources. Still, for that number of tunic wearing soldiers, I'll HAVE to pick this one.

All I can say is awsome. When the first wave came out I didn't end up getting very many sets so I have a small army, now I can get a god army in one set! As others have pointed out the base is harridle. Why did they even give it that. Isn't it a was't of plastic? I'm not shure about the queen to the dragon guy.

I find it interesting/ironic that the role of "Knight" on the Lion Knight side is played by the Jesters. I suppose there's no obvious place to put them. The base is pretty bad and useless, but I have no problem with that given all the minifigs and accessories for this relatively low price point. I think this set will prove to be a great release on LEGO's part because it will immediately appeal to both AFOLs for the army building value and children who see this and go "whoa, mommy/daddy I want this!" with parents thinking "that is neat, and not that overly expensive compared to many of the other LEGO sets
... "

Whoa yea awesome Kingdoms  (jumping up and down) but I agree that base is terrible. Have to check this out more on Lego site, if it can be order here to Finland also and then I will comment more here :D. So enthusiastic that TLG still continue some of Kingdoms :D
"Edit" not so entusiastic any more, seems that it maybe be just for you guys there in the US and Canada. :(
I will try to check is there any way to get this through the US lego to Finland but I highly doubt that it can.

Sweet! What a fantastic army-builder! I wonder why the Knight minifig is used as a Bishop, and the Jester a Knight? Why mot just make the Jester a Bishop...or maybe it was an error on the box. I am disappointed with the lack of new Dragon minifigs, but it's not the end of the world. The base looks very silly, and I sincerely hope that the castle part can be removed from the board. Other than those two problems, this is cool. It's interesting that there were no rumors of this.
