Yea newer heads are better for special characters, KK1 and KK2, starwars like obi wan, qui gon, luke, they show more expression to that character. Like Dr. S. said, the Falcons just dont look right in any other faces than their classic smiley, dont know why...
I like a mix. older ones(90s mostly) and the newer ones(kk1,kk2)I also like the good old smiley ones but have very few of them. probly my favorite is this:

There's something surreal about all my Napoleonic (Pirates line) soldiers lined up with vacuous smiles and about to be mowed down by shot and ball. Yet, it is oddly appropriate for their cannon fodder station in life.
Don't like it as much for medieval figs - I want a little more personality in them.
