Wow! Castle/Fantasy fans should love the new King and Goblin, and maybe the Evil Wizard. The Samurai and Egyptian warrior are also great for other historical settings.

The King's cloak is awesome, and goblin's printing looks fantastic! Evil Wizard reminds me of Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon.

The new space armor is awesome. I'm glad they threw a bone to the Galaxy Squad fans.

The paleontologist has a lot of character. I also like the disco diva and the snake charmer. The art direction on this series is perfect.

Never been a fan of the costumed characters though, so unicorn girl and hot-dog suit guy are the low points for me.

These look fantastic. I think I'm in love with the space trooper. The goblin and king also look fabulous.

Lots of them are just ok, but that King  :halo: ... I like the snake charmer as well!

Oh, wow! This might be the best set yet! Time to update the list!

I'm also all about the unicorn person.
I mean, it may seem like a trivial thing.... but from what i can tell, he actually has an ivory white horn, instead of light grey, or light blue(Unikitty) or red(angry unikitty), or light green(nauseous Unikitty).
It'd be neat to be able to use a white horn for those horse-helmets for Castle systems.
Maybe it's just me, but I've been unable to find white horns in the past, just light grey ones...

She. It's a girl in the unicorn costume. Well, I guess it could be a guy wearing mascara and lipstick, but normally LEGO uses visible eyelashes and lips to indicate femaleness.

It's an ex-navy seal who wears mascara and lipstick in tow with a costume from 'The Last Unicorn' to get in touch with his fantasy-feminine side, haha! XD

Sure, why not? We all have to relax in our own way. 8)

Question for the crowd: Does the Alien Trooper (bottom right) look sufficiently Squidman-esque to be considered a fulfillment of the Squidman/Cthulhu item on our wishlist?

It's my belief that it could easily pass as a mindflayer, which is a kind of squid monster seen in dungeons and dragons; the green color is kind of weird, but that gives it more creepy-factor.

I was thinking more the Squid-guy from Jabba's Palace in Star Wars with the Alien Trooper. I can see myself buying a few of these - Goblin, Evil Wizard, Sheriff, Samurai, Egyptian Warrior and the King are all possibles (although I suspect the king's hair will be attached to his crown, which will mean it can't really be included in a Treasure Hoard except maybe with a skull piece inserted!). My wife will probably want the fencer too given she was heavily into that sport for years.

A good showing given that I'm not interested enough in the Simpsons to collect any of those.

To me, this is squidman/cthulu/mindflayer, but without the lawsuits or licensing fees. The head could potentially be very popular within a variety of themes for anybody who wants to add a fantasy/horror slant. I really dig the printing on top.

The official name on LEGO's Facebook page is "Unicorn Girl" if that helps clear things up. Of course, people are free to make up their own stories, or drop in some scruffy, scarred, eyepatch-wearing pirate head to change things up.

I always wondered why they were called mind-flayers when what they eat is your physical, meaty brain. Not that D&D doesn't have its share of beasties that really do eat your mind in a metaphysical sense, like that ghost-platypus thing.

Wow, I interested in getting at least 12 of these! What a great collection. Great castle/historical stuff! The only ones I'll be skipping are the space guy, the disco dancer, and the carpenter. The unicorn is a maybe.

So many of these are great. My favourites would be the king (duh), the space guy, the goblin, sheriff, Egyptian warrior and Samurai girl. The wizard looks very impressive!

I fee like we've been saying that (maybe it's just me) about the last few standard - i.e., not Simpsons or LEGO Movie - collections, but it keeps getting more true. :D There's only a couple here I have no interest in whatsoever, and I can see myself buying more Goblins than I did Evil Dwarves or Gorilla Guys*. I'm looking forward to a closer look at some of the individual parts, such as the King's beard - is it a new mold? - and the Egyptian shield, which is definitely a new mold and, depending on how he's holding it, may signal some interesting designs in any Castle lines that may be upcoming.

Really, the only thing that really disappoints me is the Lady Cyclops - I really wish that she had been Olive Green also, as I think Sand Blue will be harder to reuse (I'll probably end up getting one anyway, of course). I suppose two greenfolk in one series really was too much to ask for . . . :orc:

*Of which I think I have five of each. Hey, that's a lot for me.
