Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent
This is an awesome set, I love the five figs it comes with, something like that nowadays would be like 50$...

Great set. I love the look of it and how it has 5 minifigs plus weapons and armor. I give it a 9/10.

Great set. I really enjoyed playing with it as a kid. Reminded me of the ship in David Macaulay's book Castle, which I was obsessed with at the time that the set came out and I was in the middle of a year long school project on the Middle Ages.

One of the best classic sets from Lego Castle theme.... I just got home to my old collection and busted a few boxes and bags open and found that I had not one but two of them. So I quickly had to put them both together and it was great. Nice overall design, great selection of figs and colour combination. It also was a great price back when it first came out. I'd get this set again anyday!

simply a very awsome set !!!!!!!
Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent
My favorite of all the castle boat sets. It is designed very well with a sail and oars being part of the design. Nice amount of mini figures come with the set. I give this set 9/10.
Classic castle fan to the core!

Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent
Great little ship. I wish they'd made more use of this size ship and sail. I used to use mine as in both my castle and pirate play. I thought it made a nice little merchant ship alongside the one from the Imperial Trading Post.
Of course, I'm also a sucker for most boats...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent
Wonderful little set. I'm probably biased, though, since this was (as far as I can remember) my very first Castle LEGO set! These were actually my only two Black Falcons till the re-release of the Guarded Inn and BFF.
There are two factions, and plenty of weapons, resulting in some good playability. The construction, while fairly straight forward, had a certain "smooth line" which really caught my eye and I think still stands up to set design these days. The sail is still one of my favorite "printed" parts, but I've never understood the green and yellow flags...
Overall a great set back then, and still a great set now!

Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent
I think I might have to put this on my want list. This looks like a pretty decent castle boat, I really like both factions included in the set, and since there are no current human ships to challenge the Troll Warship and Skeleton Ship, this might just have to do! Sure the Sea Serpent would be way out-gunned and out-sized, but perhaps if they're really sneaky they can catch the Trolls by surprise...
Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent
This is probably one of my favorite castle sets. I really like the ship and it comes with 5 fully armed knights! Unfortunately I don't own a copy of this set but I plan on buying a few copies soon.
Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent
I used to long for this set as a kid. Simply a perfect set with its high number of minifigs and awesome design.
