Black Falcon Fortress Meets the CCS

Post by Don »

This castle has been one of my favorite sets that TLC has put out, except for the Pirate ships, of course. When the CCS was introduced, I had this idea about modifing my castle sets to fit the standard. I started making wall segments and decided to modify the BFF to fit. My almost finished BFF really needs 2 straight wall sections on the sides to give a more square appearence. I added ladders and a stair segment. I tried to maintain at least the outer appearence of the BFF, especially in the Gatehouse. I agree with others about making the BFF an outer defense structure protecting a wide coutyard and a inner wall/gatehouse that leads to the actual town and citadel. I hope one day to build these sections.

Don,

Image links need to deep link to the picture at Brickshelf, meaning that the URL should end in .jpg. It appears that you linked to the gallery page for the picture instead. Yuu can do this, but you should use the "URL" button instead of the "Img" button, and then you will just get a link and not the image itself.

That's alot of grey 1x2's. :) They've always been the "holy grail" pf pieces for me....and I assume for all castle collectors. I always seemed to run out of them on top of the walls.

Nice work though...looks very fortified too. :)
