Jake and next year's KK2

Post by Devari »

Out of interest, do the admins have any idea if Jake is going to be able to supply us with advance pictures of next year's KK2, similar to what he did a year ago?

It was kind of cool to see LEGO co-operating with the FOL community on here, and I believe that good relations with LEGO is one of the previously stated reasons behind the no-leaks policy.

If this has already been discussed, I apologize.

I don't think anythings been mentioned yet, but I assume that Jake
will post the new sets here first for the minifig sets for 2005 (if and
when they come out).

The large KK2 large figs have been already been (unofficially) leaked out.

Would really love the sneak peak. See if I can get my hopes up and all excited or just realize i'll have to wait for more.

This is up to Jake and LEGO to decide. Jake tried to spread out preview pictures to different themed related websites last year and that worked well. Hopefully CC will get next year's castle previews. But as this is a very busy time in the year for the LEGO company, I have not had a chance to speak with Jake about previews yet.

Thanks for the word from the above, Ben. :)

I want to know if I should be excited, or if next year is Bricklink purchases. :)

Excited as in there may actually be a set I will buy not on sale. ;)

Anyway, something magical could happen and the bulk of "good-guy" figures will be regular soldiers.

(Fat chance of that! :D )

In a way, I see where Devari is coming from - although I'm still not 100% sure about what I should do with the jellys (scorpians are nice though), I will say that I'm pretty curious/hopeful about the next release.

There seems to be a good chance of some cool minifigs in the future, and some of the structure sets that come out, while not works of art, give me inspiration for my own creations and my storyline... so I'm curious as well... :D
Knight Templar

Hello!

For those who want a bulk of Scorpion guys for their bad guys army: How about this fig...?

As for new KK2 sets in 2005: Up to now there are only new Bioknightles known, no new Minifig sets.

Well, I got word from Lego that the reason that there are not any generic good guy soldiers is because the set designers wanted to establish the four Knights and the King as main characters before they moved on. So the possibility of generic minifigs is not totally impossible.

This maybe a stupid question, but what is KK2? Is it the new castle series that Lego put out?

Yep. Short for Knight's Kingdom II, the current line of sets.
