My guess is that Vladek's strong hold has the best Shadow Knights in the Moorlands. So his best warriors should have the best armor.
I can't wait to get these new chrome cheek helms and Euro armors. You'll see how I'll use them on one of my factions.

Look at the guy in the right turret, thats definately a black helm.JPinoy wrote:My guess is that Vladek's strong hold has the best Shadow Knights in the Moorlands. So his best warriors should have the best armor.

Look at the 2 guys on the left turret, thats definitely a chrome-silver helmet. Plus that "black helm" look on the one on the right could just be a case of the helmet being angled in such a way that it reflects the black of the bricks around it.
Besides it doesn't make sense for Lego to put 2 chrome-silver helms, and 1 black on 3 shadow knights all of whom have chrome-silver euro armor.

I know but how can they still be considered "Shadow Knights" with all that shimmering armor on them?

Bad news....
I read at EuroBricks that a magazine for Lego employees called Lego Life stated that the company would now use a kind of "spray painted" technique for the 3 most common chromes like Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
So instead of actual chrome, it'll be some kind of metallic spray paint.

Oh bummer... that stuff flakes! Maybe we can seal it with something upon purchase? Sounds like work (though)...So instead of actual chrome, it'll be some kind of metallic spray paint.
