Favorite Barding
Quite a while ago, I asked which bardings everyone had, but I never actually asked which one everyone prefered. Please just consider the barding when voting and not any chamfron (head armor for the horse) or other equipment.
Descriptions are dominant colors, emblems, and theme where it was clear to me - I wasn't going to wade through all the sets to determine if the earliest three bardings existed across several themes.

I'd have to go with the Samurai one, even though I don't own it. It's just really kool. I wish it didn't have the dragon logo, but that's ok. 2nd best would be the blue/black dragon barding.

Red/yellow lion barding gets my vote. I wish they would release a blue/yellow lion barding to complement it. (And while they're at, I wish they'd bring out falcon barding!)
The dragon bardings are classy too. Nothing that came after that really strikes my fancy.
PS - It is so nice to get back to this forum after being mauled for daring to say old greys are good on lugnet .

This is really cool poll - and it's really close for me between Lions and Dragons... they both have a very classic and cool feel to them... and I feel that Lions is just a bit better, so I voted for them.

I am a huge fan of the Black Knight's, and think both bardings they had looked great.... but I too had to vote for the classic Lion Knight's (Crusaders) barding. All three are very good, but the Lion Knight just edges the other two out.
Or maybe its because that was my first barding...

The ONLY bardings I really like are the Crusader and Black Knight bardings. My favorite of these being the Crusaders barding. I don't mind the Fright Knight barding, but I don't really think it adds anything to a mounted figure. Without some heraldry, it just looks a little too plain.
As for the cartoony lion bardings ...
well, I really can't comment. They just aren't my cup of tea.
(Oh, and its too bad that the Black Falcons never recieved any barding for their horses. Maybe that's why I'm a bit more fond of the Crusaders.)
Later.

The Crusader yellow lion on red has two great advantages: good contrast and reasonable heraldry. I sat for a while trying to figure out what would do the best, and I think this will be the favorite. The Black Knight's twin dragons will probably have their adherents - I prefer the black/blue version for it's colors, but the red/blue has better contrast.
I actually voted for the Scorpion KK2 version. It can pass for plate barding and has an engaging design. The dark red is too cool. I like both the KKI and KK2 leo designs except for the cartoony lion head. The Fright Knights are boring - I tend to brasso them off and apply my own designs (at least it scores some points for gray plastic).

Re: Favorite Barding
I actually prefer the Fright Knight version. It is somewhat plain but it is very versatile. The Vladek one is a cool design and the Ninja one is awesome but the Fright Knight one gets my vote for most uses.

I voted for the blue / black dragon barding.
I also really like the crusader and FK bardings. I don't care for the SN barding so much, so of course that is the one I have the most of.
