Sweet! I like the fort better than the old one we saw, the gates are much nicer. I'm really glad the bionicle guy found it's way back to BZP and a dragon came in it's place, which looks sweet by the way. I can hardly wait!!!

Yes, its quite saddening. Lego could be dying.

Even though the wings and heads don't really look like LEGO, the dragons are much better in my opinion. They could even be used for fell beasts. The gates on the fort look very nicely built as well.

I think it's awesome that we're getting big dragons that aren't Bionicle. They look awesome. And they're more than three pieces, unlike the DM dragons.

Also, I do think that the fortress has improved -- a few things are worse, but overall, I like it better. It feels more complete. Plus, it doesn't have too many random & useless Bionicle wall decorations.

I can't tell, is that Viking on the gate holding a new sword, or our good old greatsword?

Pity about the beards, though.

Sheesh. We've seen rediculous pre-fab animals for over ten years now (ie. Dinosaurs). I don't see why there is such a fuss over this dragon.

While I am no fan of pre-fabricated creatures such as these, I think that the comparisons between Megabloks and LEGO are a bit extreme. From what I've seen, Most Megabloks sets allow for no building what-so-ever! Allthough LEGO isn't what it used to be, LEGO bricks are still far more versatile than Megabloks!

To compare LEGO to a shoddy clone product which doesn't even stand up to some of the LEGO knock-offs coming out of Asia is just rediculous. Just because LEGO is trying to make their line-up a bit more exciting doesn't mean that they are 'ripping off' Megabloks.

(And the DM dragons were awful! They certainly aren't my cup of tea at any rate.)

Later.

I'm sorry, but the fact that they don't have beards just kills it for me. Maybe I can use wizard beards and I can have an army of really old Vikings.

I agree. I actually bought a couple of the MegaBloks Dragons at a thrift store a couple of years ago. They have less pieces than the DM dragons. These dragons are way better. While I can understand the complaints, I like them. In conclusion, we don't actually know yet that this is how the sets will look. These may be just newer prototype pics. I am with holding final judgement until the sets are in a catalog or on the shelf.

I agree with sir marcellus. sp

i think fafnir is amazingly cool. Yes its megablockish, but much of megablock was lego ish. Is it not wise to learn from the good things your ennemy does? THis is far different from blind copying.

(i have and love midgaard the dragon from crystal wars. But now i hav have a true lego dragon be the terror of my realm!)

Better, but still just ok. For some reason, I like the Dragon Master dragons better. Maybe because they are more compatable with the other animals (like the horses). Still definately going to be getting these... I can hardly wait.

Oooh...very nice. I like the green one better, even though they appear to be the same design.

I *really* hope that at least 1 of the dragons somewhere in the line will have black wings. Just think of the Fell Beast possibilities....*drools*

I think the new fortress looks alot better. I don't like that they replaced the building with a catapult, but I can deal with it. And that gate's awesome.

Dear LEGO,

I hereby declare my availability to design a better dragon for your sets.
