Hello!

Thanks for the link to the pic. Now I see the redwhite striped tent on the quarterdeck again, and feel at ease with the ship again. :-)

If only the ship wasn't newbrown! One would be able to stretch it easily with some spare parts from Pirate ships. Now we must buy several Viking boats (maybe worth it for the figs, though), but taking the middle sections of one to lenghten others means we will end up with redundant stern and prow pieces.

Hm...maybe I should start researching real Viking Longboats now... :D

This is in no way the biggest ship LEGO has ever made! Both 6285, and 6286 are bigger. Remember, length alone does not dictate size. Both of the large pirate ships include far more bricks than the Viking longship. And I believe that 6085, and 6086 are actually longer as well! The bow of these ships extends well beyond the ship's hull. The rear cabin on both ships also exceeds the hull's length.

Just because the Viking longship has a longer hull, doesn't mean that it is by default the biggest ship in the LEGO sea :) !

Later.

Darn, I hadn't noticed the seam in that picture :(. Oh well, I guess I'm happy that I will be able to make various sized boats.

Anybody know about the floating possibilities of the those new Jack Stone pirate ships and/or the Harry Potter ship?
Hoping to have a witty signature and cool avatar one day.

I don't know why people would be so negative.
Even without the ABS beards, the line is awesome.
Great faces and torsos, more great weapons, a great long boat.
Not to mention that if you don't like the Fortress, you can always use
the pieces to upgrade your Fort Legoredo.
:D

Ben Medinets,
who definitely wants into the Viking fan club.

I am still a big fan of the line and the new beasties will be more fun for kids than the more bionicley ones we saw from the first pics. With all the changes, I only see two real negatives. The beards are gone. They have KKII swords now.

Other than that I can still see myself buying several copies of each of the sets. Finances and new job prospects allowing, I will likely buy some sets by the case. :D

Still a part of the Viking fan club.
After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.

Yeah that new Viking Ship picture made the boat look alot better than that overhead view I saw.

I might still buy a few Redbean beards, although the beards on their faces work nicely still.

I really need to get my finances in order, because this might be the first time I want more than one set of the same thing hehe. Well not want, but actually GET hehe.

As long as they keep only the bronze/ maybe gold KK2 swords, it will be ok. Although i'll cut off the little sword handle sides. Makes the blade look more Viking.

I think the vikings series looks pretty neat. I was just wondering. What does ABS beards mean?
I don't really like the dragons, but the figures and accessories are awsome. Especially those helmets, the axes, and those shields.

ABS means "acrylonitrile butadiene styrene" which is the material that regular LEGO bricks are made from.

Don't quote me, but I think KK2:2 is coming out in the summer, Vikings in the fall and HP4 during the holidays (since the movies are always released around that time).
