I think that this set is a great army builder.Although the set design is ugly. Would be even better if it came with a sword and/or a spear and if the boat had a better design. However then the set would not be an impulse set.

7/10 purely for the fact that its an army builder.

This set seems to be a classic medieval ship-open,wooden and has big pieces of metal that shoots projectiles. However, classic medieval ships don't make good rowboats.

Still, its good for pieces.

This set is great! It comes with a nice fig, shield, crossbows and oars.
Too bad that it didn't come with a quiver. Then, it would have been the perfect army builder.

Looks like a nice little set. Was this a polybag? I really miss those. Nice, cheap and a good value.

Looks like a nice army/navy builder. To be fair I love boats and could use this or multiples. I'd likely arm the guy with a sword or spear but all and all a nice little set to build up an army.

It's an ordinary small boat with a soldier. The bows are the only bad in it. How the h*ll is he supposed to shoot from there while he's rowing? Anyways, a good boat and it reminds me of a funny song

I wish they'd make more little sets like this which include a shield...

Great little parts pack. You get a man, two weapons, and a shield. The black cones can be useful. I wish little sets today came with shields (orc warrior inpulse).

I like it since this was my only set in this theme i am glad i bought it.

For the longest time, lego crossbowmen didn't come with quivers. I always thought it was weird.

Lotta small set love these days...lol, they're great assets if you aren't a wealthy kid/collector

To be fair the lack of quivers for crossbows never bothered me... mostly because arrow quivers and bolt quivers are very/totally different. So are arrows and bolts for the most part. One is around or just under three feet and the other around or just under a foot on average. Having a quiver that hold three foot long arrows for a bolt that is just one is almost odder to me. Of course in the medieval period back quivers were not common in Western Europe, they had belt quivers.

That's what I always thought, too. The quivers look 'right' (in a Hollywood-Robin-Hood kind of way) with bows, but a bit odd (to me) with crossbows. Which has spared me some anxiety about quiver shortages, at least.

This set lacks something. A sword If this set had a sword, it would be a lot more useful, but as it is, it isn't a great army builder. Who wants a army of men who have crossbows? I don't. Though owning this set, as well as 1843 (A space and castle value pack) gave me an option on what weapon the dude got.

Peice wise, it is more useful for Space than for Castle, IMO, not including the obvious. (The crossbows ,shield and paddles)
