Great set. Great figs. What else is there to say, except: Where are today's equivalents?

I can but echo the sentiments of those above me... great figs, classic heraldry, too few weapons and shields.
I think the later fig packs were better, because they generally had 6 figs and equipment galore.

I dont know. The weapons choice is lacking, but the set has 4 people, all classic, and some of those awesome visors...
Then 4/10
Now 10/10 (just for the figures)

Amen Brother! This is a nice little army builder, and what a shame Lego has no equivalent now. Minifigs only. The Viking "army" is nice, but just how many of those He-Man/Thundar catapults can one have! :^)Athos wrote:Great set. Great figs. What else is there to say, except: Where are today's equivalents?

I really like the visored helmets!

Nice set, basic but that is what I like most about it. No heavy weapons, just some useful minifigs to build an army.
Hard to say when it is owned. I would say that owning it would at least mean that you purchased this new or at least with the original card. Then you can be assured that this was sold as a real set with no substitution pieces. Like many other CC-ers, I own these type of figs but I do not think it would be right to claim that I own this as a set.

as much as i would love more minifig packs and wish lego still did it today, as a set (a set and a minifig pack being different, with different purposes) this is pretty lacking. even as a minifig pack it's missing some pretty vital elements, primarily that there aren't enough weapons. also, i plain don't like this old style of minifig. however, i'm sure they were fine for the time, and a minifig pack without enough weapons is better than no minifig pack at all.
