Lego Duplo Castle
Lego Duplo Castle
For the older ones in the crowd, how many of you are buying up the Duplo Castle series for your toddlers or future toddlers? Good value? Thoughts on these sets? Or would you rather go Playmobil or Fisher Price?

I'm 44 with 3 children (9, 6 and 3) and would heartily recommend it. I bought it for my collection (since it's castle ), but my kids love it (I've even found the 9 year old joining in with his siblings). It's sad, as others have noted before me, that Duplo Castle looks so much more realistic than Knights Kingdom. For the older ones in the crowd, how many of you are buying up the Duplo Castle series for your toddlers or future toddlers? I can't seem to find the chest right now, but yes, I'm almost certain that it is one piece - well the chest and gold are two separate pieces but permanently affixed (A parts modder could probably separate them ).I'd like to add a question if anybody has it-What's the treasure chest like?It seems like the gold is permanently glued,to me.

Err I brought it for myself along with the rest of the series Its actully mighty fine and a much nicer design than the new KK sets.
The chest AFAICR is infact 2 pieces, one of which sits in the other. I will check

I like it. My wife collects Duplo and I got it for her, but I like it too. Very well designed. The red dragon is pretty nifty and the shield designs are great, as Anthony has already pointed out.

Its good indeed, but Im worried that Duplo will take over System as the real dealer of real mediveaval figures. Ive never been too keen on those flesh-toned men with ears...
I saw the new "Pheonix" (or a fiery bird, anyways) faction this year. Could be interesting to see being converted to minifigs- highest elite of the custom Phoenix faction?
