I remember when my brother got this set, I opted for a City set (a yellow semi) on the same store visit. I didnt know anything about Castle when he got it as all of our previous Lego sets had been City up to that point. Needless to say, it was fortunate that my brother picked it out, because it lead us to years of enjoying Castle Lego. Eventually, these guys became surplus to my brother's needs and they slowly faded from our wars (he took up the cause of the Black Falcons and I fell in with the Crusaders), but he still has one or more of these guys packed away with his Lego collection.

As a set, I like the number of troops. Seems like important supplies with two couriers and an armed escort of infantry. There is good playability, this being the only Castle set we had in the family at the time, but we still got lots of use out of it. The design of the cart is limited, but at the time I dont recall that we cared. The troops are classics were an excellent way for a kid to bolster their faction.
