This is a neat little set, too bad I didn't get any KK1 sets 9/10 for me (no additional weapons to the 2 crossbows)

Im at work today - when I get home I will check my KK1 PC game that has a pdf instruction booklet with a list of charaters.
It is likey could be that Locker 99 has made the missinformation error - I was working of my memory.

Great little set. Crossbows, quivers 1x2 with hole, headlight bricks, 4x4 green plates, 4x4 turntable (never have enough of those) awsome fig. All in all, the only non very useful peice is the 2x2 dark grey slope. And even those are pretty useful. If I had the chance, I would definatly buy more.
Lots more.
Even if only for the quivers
My rating:
Playability: 8 (no bad guys)

No, there is definitely a confusion on the part of official publications out there regarding which knight is which. The LEGO Magazine we got here in Canada definitely spelt out the guy with this set as Sir John of Maine, and the other knight as Richard the Strong, and consequently that's always been my mental image.MarioDAlessio wrote:Im at work today - when I get home I will check my KK1 PC game that has a pdf instruction booklet with a list of characters.

It's not the first time LEGO has been inconsistent in their stories, though for what it's worth, stories and names did not play such a significant role until the KK2-era. The Adventurers, for example, had names and such, but they were not completely standardized. Sam Sinister of the 1998 series lost his name to the villain who had been Baron von Barron (and a distinctly different character) in the 1998 series, by the time the Dinosaur series arrived in 2000.

Below is from Creator Knights Kingdom PC game instruction manual.
King Leo’s Court
King Leo comes complete with his own special silver sword. Leo is strong and clever. He always knows how to handle the trickiest of situations.

Queen Leonora likes to advise King Leo on tactics. She is loved by the people of the Kingdom and does a lot to help them.
Link http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=cas033
Princess Storm is the daughter of Leo and Leonora, and is very beautiful. She’s a lot like her mother and father, but does have a bit of a temper, which is how she got her name! Even Leo couldn’t stop her from joining his army! She’s very quick with her sword and also makes a great lookout. She’s often the first to spot the evil Cedric the Bull.
Link http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=cas034
Richard the Strong has been one of Leo’s knights for many years and has served the Kingdom well. His father was a knight of the Kingdom before him and tales are still told of his courage. Richard is Leo’s best and favourite knight. Richard’s best friend is his own apprentice, John of Mayne.
Link http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=cas037
John of Mayne is the son of the nobleman, Sir Arthur and John grew up with Princess Storm. It was John who taught the Princess how to use a bow and arrow. She accidentally hit the blacksmith’s bottom and he couldn’t walk for a week! John took the blame for her because he’s secretly in love with the Princess!

King Leo’s other soldiers are armed with halberds (huge axes). Scary!

Cedric and his gang
Cedric the Bull is the evil son of a King who lives in a far off land. He wants a castle of his own, and wants it right now! He is only happy when he’s winning. Despite his battleaxe and spear, that’s still not very often! Some say he only has a silver sword because he envies Leo’s. Despite a bad temper Cedric is a very good horseman, and can be a real challenge to Richard. He is so tough, some say he can even chop wood barehanded!
Link http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=cas046
Gilbert the Bad is an expert on attacking castles, and building amazing siege engines. He’s never happier than when one of his cunning attacks works out. Cedric would be lost without Gilbert!
Link http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=cas041
Weezil was found in a basket in the forest and Cedric has raised him as his own son. He’s most at home in the forest and can find a trail anywhere even in the dark. He’s quite sneaky and thanks to Weezil, no one ever knows where Cedric’s men are hidden.

Strangely I recall this set coming out just before X-Mas at local Wal Mart stores, who priced them at the clearance rate of $1.00 a set just to get rid of them (they did that with a lot of LEGO I recall in 2000). I found 40 before X-mas and another 20 just after X-mas which made King Leo quite the happy king.
I was very happy with the part selection in the set, considering it was a buck each at the time, those large turntables *might* come in handy some day.
Originally suggested retail price was around $1.99 to $2.99 I believe. Still quite the bargain. Must have been the polybaggedness (my word!).

I remember getting this set at my local Wal-mart (before it became a dirty word in my house). I would go with a friend there every week and buy one when he bought a pack of smokes. I tried to use it as a way to say "hey, spend your money on something better". I ended up with about 9 or so. I currently use the guys I got for my knights. I use the kettle helms on different soldiers. All I can say is "Bring back the polybags"

What a great idea.Quickblade22 wrote: I would go with a friend there every week and buy one when he bought a pack of smokes. I tried to use it as a way to say "hey, spend your money on something better".
We could count how much money would have been spent on cigarettes if we smoked, and buy Lego for that sum. (And those who do smoke, can quit and buy Lego for the money. )
Alternatively, use the bike instead of taking bus/car somewhere near and calculate how much would be spent on tickets/gas and buy Lego for that sum.
Then we would be healthier and happier. And have more Lego.

These are, in my oppinion, the best soldiers the TLG has ever made, since they look so realistic. The price is a bit much, several dollars just for one, but with the extra pieces, it's not too bad.
10/10
Sadly I was never able to buy any, since I was just getting into Lego at the time and didn't have much money, about a dollar a week in allowance.

Battling with college to try and prevent the dark age.
Though I really never started buying LEGO until after KK1, this look like a nice little army builder, and holds a good amount of weapons. The fig, also, holds good quality in design. All in all, for the size, it's a 8/10

I would really like to build one of these for the Tower Raid set I'm getting tomorrow but since I'm new to LEGOs and haven't put anything together yet can someone help me with a list of pieces from bricklink that I would need to make a good version of this?
I'm trying to do it myself - I just don't want to end up with a bunch of pieces I don't need.
Thanks!
Tyler

DK,
Look up the instructions online. It will have everything you need. I'd go with the version on the king's mountain fortress over this one personally but if you like it go for it.
Here are the pieces needed for the KMF set crossbow shooter.

Are there any pictures of the KMF crossbow shooter so I can compare the two?Heir of Black Falcon wrote:DK,

The only thing I'm worried about is that the colors won't match up with the new stuff.

Best picture I have of it. Sadly 80-90% of my collection is in a kingdom far far away so I cannot get pictures of my own of it. Its on the top most tower.
