To be honest all the sets are classics.

The two that stand out the most are the Knight's Challenge for the colour and great parts and Camoflagued Outpost for representing the essence of the ever popular Forestmen.

So that got my vote.

I would have to go with King's Castle. The amount of minifigures and accesories is what I love most about it. I also love the amount of grey pieces and the design of it.

It hurts to read this topic there's so much goodness in there (and foolish optimism  ). I think if I had my way, and what would blend in best with the current Castle lineup would be the Knight's Challenge. You'd add more peasants, a decorative structure and unique hero knights and it would look really really nice any way you dis(play) with it. :halo:

Please keep in mind that when this topic started in 2005, TLG was in the midst of making many new Legends sets. If they had not made foolish selections (USS Constellation, Enchanted Island, etc), the legends line could still be around. If it was, I would not have been surprised to see another castle legend. Things turned out differently and we have new interesting sets like the Medieval Market Village instead.

I think that the king's castle should become a legend because of the classic mini figures, the accessories and it is truly a classic castle.
