That is great! I love the new snake shields, and the actual Shield of Ages! The Rouge Knight seems to have a speckled golden helmet, and a decorated euroarmor! Return of the Guardian! Great!

However, Im not a big fan of the recolored helmet visors.

But this seems to be many years after Jayko's coronation, I wonder how I should make the story now... Hmm...

ooohh, the king has golden armour. The sorcerer guy has a hammer in his hand...funny. He also seems to be holding the shield of ages. And the evil guy who's falling of the tower looks quite interesting. the black armour with the design could be quite useful. And also the shadow knight helmet in a different colour.[/quote]

Hey,

I have to admit I haven't been following these previews of upcoming sets. Is this the first peek we've had at that new helm?

Image

That's a great element! Also all of the new shield designs are cool as well.

Isn´t that a Santis-visor?

And to me it looks like the guardian is standing in some kind of smithy, that would explain the hammer.....

That is indeed a santis visor. In silver. Very nice looking stuff! Great possibilies for the minifig stuff, but I am not happy with the sets themselves. Lego is putting aside the screenprinting of its bricks and is opting for stickers. This sucks. You can tell all the stonework on those bricks is just a sticker. And, I think the same can be said for the shield of ages, just a sticker. That means that they're going back to the days of the yellow castle.... plain solid color bodies with some sort of tabard/armor with a sticker on it. And we all know what happened to those.... they became worn and now look like poo.

Yes, this appears to be a spraypainted Santis visor... :? We'll just have to make due, and enjoy the new shield designs and armor.

Wow, Jayko sure hasn't aged well... but its nice to see he's changed his armor from Baby-blue to a much more realistic/manly color: yellow...

Semi-random thoughts:

I eagerly await to see if Jayko's armor is gold or just...yellow. :?

The shields look cool! The armor printing on the falling dude looks interesting. Is there no emblem?

The castle model looks pretty good. Gasp! Check it out! The return of the old style castle corner wall! :D

I like the recolored helms. Weapons look good. And the castle actually looks halfway defendable. Five figs for a $50 set (which I hope this set will be) is great.

I really hope everybody got their own shields this year! I need atleast one of each, and hundreds for customizing.

I really wonder how Vladek looks... Remember that last year Jayko looked 20:ish, probably younger, and Vladek was at the same age as Mathias (competing about the throne in their youth) and Vladek and Mathias was aprox. 50-60 years... And if Jayko is grey bearded now then, aprox 50-60.... Vladek is 100? I think Lego got its very first Lichlord! :D

Since if he is not an undead (or atleast a magic user without the Book of Morcia or magical artifact), he is just a very old cranky old man.

I'm going to say yellow. You can see its not the same chrome cold as the crown, so we can rule that out. I know, I know, this is an early release picture, but it is an officially released picture. And I doubt Lego is going to intentionally release prototype pictures then change them, especially after the ruckuss the Vikings brought.

Spaz, dont spazz out! I think lego took the idea of a stallion (yes, its a horse not a unicorn) from Rohan (since its green), also, a pink unicorn knight has been around in the idea state a long time, actually, in one of the KK2 games there is a pink horse heraldry. ;)

Yeah... I wouldn't 'spazz' out. I'm sure TLG gets lots of emails and phone calls about many suggestions and you happened to be one of them. Unfortunately I'm also sure that they disregard all of them and let their employees do the work.

Brickset lists these three sets:

8821 Knights' Kingdom - Rogue Knight Battleship

Plus another set we haven't seen yet:

Battle at the Pass
Any castle LEGO set with the word "battle" in it, should be good. :D
