Actually the Lion Knights were in several sets in 1989 and 1990 including 6060 Knight's Challenge and 6077 Forestmen's River Fortress.

9/10 (Modifications could be made to make it better)
Wouldn't a KK2 accessory pack be rather pointless? With the old knights and soldiers you could mix and match headgear, weapons, plumes, etc. A new pack (for a theme not focused on generic soldiers and knights) would not work because the Knights have specific colored parts which can not be mixed and create a visually pleasing figure.

I did start an accessory pack thread in Dear LEGO which was passed along to Steve Witt. viewtopic.php?t=6291
Hopefully fan input could be used on a future pack.

My review: This is a wonderful parts pack. I agree that the yellow and red plumes were not the most rare. These colors do work well for the headgear of all three themes in the pack. Both colors are slightly better than white plumes which seem to be my most common color.

Considering when this set came out, the classic round shield and pitchfork would have been nice additions to the set. Otherwise it is great.

Hehe!

Also, thanks architect for that info, I forgot about those sets, what I meant was they were mostly gone..er..something. Actually I don't know how to read years. Alright, I was wrong, I got my facts mixed up. (cue: sad face)

Last year I bought 3 of these from ebay (.de) where they were advertised as spare parts for 375 and 383. I was disappointed 'cause eventhough the viking helmet, sword and lance look light grey they are in fact dark grey. Knowing that the set is ok but it just isn't what I collect.

Best regards, Infyrana

*grabs old S@H catalog*

Great parts pack. I was able to buy it in 1999 for $3, and that is with shipping included. I was also able to buy one a few months ago for *mumble*, but I have a dorky collector instinct at times. Amberstone should be receiving one in the mail soon for winning the room interior contest.

This, along with the 6103 minifig pack, seemed to come out at the pinnacle of classic castle Lego. I had lots of fun re-equipping my castle figures with the shields, helmets, and weapons included. I wish the concept of buying sets in multiples had occurred to me at the time. I'd give this the highest possible rating for parts selection vs. price.

Unfortunately, this has absolutely zero play value for somebody who doesn't already have some LEGO, and there aren't really any custom models you can build with *just* this set. It is a service pack after all. As such, it can't be rated like a regular set.

I'll just say that it was definitely worth buying when it first came out if you already had some Lego mini-figures.

As far as accesory packs go, this is one of the better ones. While it doesn't have the largest selection, it does have two of most of the stuff. Not much more to say than that.

Design is crappy.

I would agree that this accessary pack was very nice. I too missed out on getting any when they were available. Something that has not been mentioned is that was a good source for Forestmen shields and hats. I personally love the forestmen, and anything containing hats and shields is a big bonus. I would love to see this pack re-released.

This is (in my humble opinion) the best accessory pack ever released... it transformed my collection when lego released them in Britain a few years ago... The only change I would make would be black helmates (except the grill one) as I use black far more often...

God Bless,

I guess I'll be one of the few who give a big shrug to this pack. Although I like the idea, I believe that sources like bricklink and e-bay, to name the two biggest that come to mind, pretty much fill in the gap well enough. I'm sure we pay more than if LEGO re-released this pack, but I guess it's not such a big deal to me. Parts packs are nice, but I don't feel they are necessary.

You gotta love accessories. This particular set is fantastic, as it is from the Golden Era of the Castle theme. Look at those shields, helms and most importantly forestmen hats. – Absolutely Great!!!

Now this is something that Lego should re-introduce.

It includes all my favorite minifig elements (except for the round shield). So I have no complaints whatsoever. Lego should make more of these sets. :D

Now - 9.5
then - 8.5

I I look at the price in Francs, I can say that it wasn't a big deal, back in the days, even less than that, when adding shipping cost.
For now on, I would just say it is pointless to get such accessory parts pack if even TLC would give them to us through PAB, we could get precisely which part we want. And with a discount system, it would be even nicer. :)

A neat little 'helper pack' for eras gone by. I hope they bring a similar 2007-? pack out.
