Discussion of official LEGO Castle Theme sets and products

wow. These look pretty sweet.
I like the catapult and joust.
The joust comes with lots of stuff for a price of $9! Looks like a good deal and I hope that that will be the actual price when these come!
And the catapult looks pretty cool. I could use a catapult to use against my castles...
I think that all of these sets are a great improvment from kk. You don't get rainbow colored knights this time! :P
The skeletons kind of look like droids though, but they're cool.
The skeleton horses look good also.
Overall, I think that 2007 is going to be a great year for lego, not just including castle but the other stuff as well (did you see batman's tank? Awsome!)

Honestly, lego usually sells in rounded numbers, also how do we know these prices? But on the otherhand, nice theme, I will buy all! :D Oh, yes a well defended castle, a evil looking fort, a new form of a ballasita, a catapult that has a winch, and a joust with no carts! Not to mention the weapons!

Hey, has anyone else noted lego's pricing change? How they now have $7 sets then $14 sets? I think its nicer than the old $9 then $18. And I believe you're still getting the same amount approx.
I ow it to wunztwice for directing me here.

The good folks over at Eurobricks have received images from the French Toy Fair. From the looks of things, the castle actually features gold coloured flags! Unfortunately, traffic is so heavy that their site is having alot of problems. It also appears that there are two separate barding prints (one silver and one gold). Most important though, is that these sets look absolutely incredible. A good year indeed.

Well those answer a lot of questions.

Skeleton arms are twisted 90° midway.
Yes, new scythe blade/sword.
Yes, new weapons: flail/morning star.
etc.

You guys really don't need this stuff repeated, but seeing confirmation like those pics is pretty awesome.

Looking at the new pictures...

Features include:

-two distinct bardings (different colours and prints)
-gold flags.
-new "lighting brick" (sort of a special effect. Think magic casting)
-gold (yes gold) coloured flags. They are the same colour as last year's gold bricks.
-new scythe brick (seems to double as a sword)
-breastplates are printed with faction logos (unfortunate as it limits their diversity)
-The caged figure is indeed a new female fig.
-also, the new skull print seems to be a mixture of the original skull, and the zombie stickers in the original prototype photo. Looks very nice.

Overall, the toyshow photos are a definite step above what we've seen thus far. The only disappointment (for me) is that the armour features faction printing. I would have loved to use some of this silverish armour with my BFs and others.

Later.

Look at the archer in the tower to the left. Is that a bow and arrow?

Image

Return of the pointed visor :D Scanning the pics to see what torsos are revealed... dial up, so sloooowwww.

Excitment level building. July cannot come soon enough.

Edit: Pic with skull cave/fortress. Female fig looks to have dark blue torso and skirt with very cool print. Skellies have evil undead glowing eyes...if you're into that sorta thing

What, I could only see the one type of barding in the pics provided
-new "lighting brick" (sort of a special effect. Think magic casting)
should that be "lightning brick"?

In the last pic with the castle, I can see one of the old able-baskets in front. Neat.

Deffinately a look-forward too. Again.
