New keep

Post by Aragornn45 »

Ok, so after a quick building spree, about 3 hours worth, I came up with this:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=244679

This is v 1.1, the first version needed some work and I doubt that this current one will stay the way it looks for long. This is also my only entry into the contest, if everything's legal  I await your comments and criticisms.

(edit)ok its public now and thanks for the help spongey, I'll remember that for next time

To get a deeplink, keep clicking on the image until you don't get any new screens- the one where your picture is on a white background. The URL is your deeplink.

3 hours?! That's very impressive. I really like the tudor, looks very nice. I am not a big fan of the mottled effect, but it's all a matter of taste ;)

Looks good, but what is the dark forestman doing? Assasinating the guard?

This is a very nice castle, especially considering the timeframe. The overall design is very nice. It looks like it could be a travel-house (ie: not the main living quarters) of a minor lord. The pictures look great, the plants help give it a sort of cheery feel. Hope to see more things from you soon.

Very nice! I really like how the inside is not just plain wall but instead looks tudor style. Good luck in the contest!

Exactly, I guess I took him to be the head honcho when the lord is away, whatever you want to call that.

Wow, very nice indeed! Three hours? I guess I don't build that fast. I especially like the tudor-inspired courtyard. Nicely done!

That's a nice looking castle. But if I were you, I would never put my LEGO out in the sun.

Heavens above! You did that in only three hours! It would probably take me three days to do that much, and it wouldn't turn out nearly as good. Marvelous work! :D

God speed

This is good. I like the main tower, along with the courtyard in the center. A job well done.

I normally don't but the light was perfect for outdoor shooting. (plus, they were out there less than 15 minutes :D )

And thanks for all the compliments everyone and just for the record, it is already undergoing heavy reconstruction. My lego space has been limited to my very small bedroom, so look for smaller taller mocs in the future
