Just in the nick of time, I have entered my only entry for the contest, the Royal Joust.
The kind but naive Lord Saxon has invited his bitter rival, Lord Vladek, for a friendly joust in the royal gardens. Little does he know, something else is in store for him.

Decent, but the good guy color scheme seems sort of disjointed. I would give the dividing line a bit of SNOT, and give the red-yellow color scheme a more visible pattern. Great idea, though, with the hidden archer. Ah, Vladek. A Dark Lord after my own heart (though he still has a ways to go after being defeated by some walking jelly beans).

I agree that this is pretty cool - the buildings have that festive joust feeling to it, and nothing seems out of place or what not... the hidden archer is great, although I have a feeling he'll have a hard time escaping once the shoots the king...
I guess the only possible thought would be that perhaps the rail separating the horses should be a bit longer in proportion to the size of the horses themselves, but that is being a bit picky.
Nice, fun creation... I like it.

i had exactly the same idea: putting an evil archer somewhere in my joust scene!!
i didn't enter my joust, but i used the same minifig as evil archer!!
weird...
nice joust!

Thank you for all of your replies, compliments, and constructive criticism. As Prince Imdol stated, I don't build a lot, but that will hopefully change, with the summer holidays around the corner, and a large Bricklink order slowly being processed...
