Chuffed pt. 3: SNOT wall with Tower

Post by footsteps »

1,000th post!!

I've held quiet for a bit once I realized that I was at 999 posts, as I wanted my next one to be something significant rather than just commenting on other's creations. And, let me tell you, it has been hard not to comment on some of the nice stuff that's been shown recently.

Anyway, I finally took some pictures of one of my SNOT wall sections as I've envisioned them for my city wall.

Here's the deep link for a teaser, and once they are modded, you can see all the pics here.

This wall/tower section incorporates three features I've been working on for a while: arrow slits, spiral stairs, and of course, the tall SNOT wall.

Hope you like it.

Alan (still chuffed  )

Excellent! I love the how you've incororated SNOT into your MOC. The spiral stairs are awesome! I never was very good at using SNOT myself. I would end up with, well, a pile of bricks that looked like nothing. Anway great MOC, and congrats on your 1000th post. I will be there in about 10 years.

Its big, gray and its easy to cover a large area with. Good job. My only complaint are all those ugly studs. I have recenty started to love studlessness. 8)

Congrats on your first thousand posts! I just got to 200 myself. Looks like everyone has reason to be chuffed!

Very impressive. I like this take on the wall a lot but I don't know if it is something I woudl use.

Congrats on the big k Alan! :D

Minifig scale this wall looks incredibly menacing, especially with all those nasty studs sticking out. I like how you've combined it with "conventional" lego construction though, well done.

Good job Alan!
I could see some awesome tile brickwork going on ther, if you've the parts. If not, there's nothing better than a LEGO stud- or in this case, a bunch of LEGO studs!

I wish I had the money to buy hundreds of these. It would look oh-so-great for Helm's Deep! Everything here is great, a clever idea... and a well-done realization! Oh, and congrats on the 1000 posts.
...and that's how Equestria was made!
