Hi all,

I finallt found a purist way to make a roman legionair (this way written in dutch, don't know the other ways) with only lego pieces. I present:

The Roman legionair

pieces used:

flesh anakin pilot head: the communicator is a great cheek guard
fire helmet: close resemblance to the roman helmet with the anakin head
pearl silver euro armor: used from the final joust, I was lucky enough that the backside had a stripe going down the middle of it, like the real lorica segmentata.

red string: from the ballista set, spinned twice around the minifig legs. It allows the look of a tunic, but can still move and he can even sit down with it!


This is one of the greatest accomplishments in my MOCs, and I also have a ompletely new curved scutum design wich I will post soon.

Nice way to use the fireman's helmet.

Never would of thought to turn the armour around

(to dumb to figure anything out ths morning)

It is cool, but how you used the pieces was very imaginative!

Very nice. I'm not quite sure I agree about the cheek-guard part of the face, but it works well enough. The tunic is really cool.

The rubber-bands are a great touch.

Those new fire-helmets look great, it's the same metallic as is in the Castle 2007 line right?

yep, and thats what got me inspired to use this helmet. I'll try to improve this little guy just a bit more with probaply a brown belt...

But I really don't know wich sword to use...

The KK2 sword is too big
The basic knight sword is too... non-roman

The only good thing for now is the dagger, wich is a bit too short...

I found some nice designs for scuti, I'll see if I can post it 2night.
