Tower on the water

Discussion of personal LEGO Castle creations

Postby Lord Felix » Fri Sep 28, 2007 11:57 am

Not only is the building well built, but your lighting to capture it is very good. I really like the stud-less water, i was thinking of using it for my town but I learned about it after I created the first part  So I'm stuck with it.

Also, I love the dock with the planks! I am really bad at SNOT and not quite on the studs techniques, can you show me how that looks without the boards?

Thanks!

This is just simply breathtaking. I've always wanted to build a fortification on the water....grounds for inspiration.

Great tower. I don't know what else to say about it that hasn't already been said.

Very nice MOC. I like the details, such as the peasant and the snake, and the tower. Great job.

Probably my favorite scene so far. I like how you used flat tiles on the battlements to give the whole tower/keep a smooth feel; like it were chiseled out of stone to smoothness. Excellent work.

I think I won't be able to review this properly, because if I don't leave the topic soon, I may just die from wanting this so much. Truly, this is one of the best castles I've ever seen. Sadly, there's too much detail for me to point out any of it, so I'll just say fantastic job.

The tower is great and building it on water is very interesting.

The house there is very nice, the white and black always has looked very good to me.

I enjoy some of the smaller touches as well. THe guy in the barrel, the man wading with the snake coming after him, the statue that has moss on him. I like the old raft design with those round 1x1's but I think this method you use looks just as good if not better and looks way sturdier.

Nice castle!

The animals are custom molded elements sold by BrickForge.

I know this is an older thread but what do you have holding the flames on the buildings? Is it a lightsaber hilt? I want to use those for my MOCS but lightsabers are so expensive!

By the way I love your work and I am very impressed by this MOC. The shallow nature of the water really gives it flavor. I love the long lines on the towers. Very nice indeed.
