A big thanks to those of you who entered. There weren't too many, which was rather disappointing, but the entries we received were all great.

1st Place:
DARKspawn
Dark Knights' Castle (Modular Castle)

2nd Place:
Traveler
Knights vs. Moonshining Forestmen

Congratulations to the winners!

Darkspawn, please contact me with your address so that I can mail your Brickforge animals to you. You and Traveler shall be receiving your forum ranks soon.

Congratulations to the winners :D great contest, I wish I had the time to participate (not that the deadline was too tight, you gave us plenty of time, more like bad planning from my side ;))
Very good themes there Darkspawn and Traveler, and have fun with your prizes and bragging rights!

Yay, congrats to the winners. The modular castle looks great and the forestmen is a great theme idea.

This is a contest I should have entered, but the timing was bad and as the song goes... you gotta to have timing t-t-t-t-timing...

Curses, foiled again! It seems I'm doomed to always be in second place. However, given the standard of competition around here, I'd be glad to come in second any day. Very well deserved congratulations to DARKSpawn! I just wish I had more time to be around these forums and use both my whining rights(which I've already exercised in the above sentences) and to proudly display my Inferior Fame and Empty Glory!

As a side note, I really like the idea of forum ranks as prizes. I feel that maybe in the future more contests could be run with these prizes, as a both a fun way to add to our community and to promote more small contests throughout the year. I know that for me there's nothing like a contest to get me building, and a lot of the best MOCs around here come from contest ideas, so more small contests I think could only improve both the quality and quantity of Castle themed MOCs out there. Another thing that could be neat would be for these smaller contests (not for this contest, but maybe for future ones?) to have a small image denoting the contest victory that the winner and runner up could put in their signature to remind the rest of the community of the bragging rights and glory that they have accrued!

What about a small little ribbon/medal that could be displayed in the sidebar? Something like the country flags over at eurobricks. It could explain what it mean when you moved the cursor over it.

Congrats to the winners!

I also had some ideas, and wish I could've entered, but the timing was bad for me. (Plus I'm still cleaning and sorting, after coming out of my recent Dim Age.) I think this was a really neat idea for a contest, so don't let the low number of entries discourage you.... maybe give it another try in a year or two.

Some good ideas for contests Traveler has there. I agree more small contests here and there would spark more creativity in MOCs.
As for the timing of this one, it seems I'm not the only one for who the timing was bad. Maybe late summer / early fall isn't the best time for a contest :)
I think a contest in the cold, dark winter days would get much more attention, after all, 'tis the season to sit inside and build stuff!

Congratulations to Traveller & everyone who entered. As I have said before this was a "hum-dinger" of a contest, & I think everyone who went to the effort really deserves kudos.

It was especailly enlightening for me, as I misunderstood the contest rules & had to scale back my original submission. I think this really helped me to understand how frustrating it must be to be a set designer.

Lastly (but by no means least) I would like to thank Tony & the CC Admin team for running yet another fantastic contset. Thanks for all your time & effort guys, we all really appreciate it :)

Thanks again

Its unfair when DS enters, because right when he said "I think I will enter this" I knew I who would win. Nice job Darkspawn.

Maybe you are right. After CCCV I'll just build for contests & not enter them :P

*holds breath 'till turns purple

Cheers :)

Congratulations to DARKSpawn and Traveler. Both of you had very inspiring creations. I loved the Forestmen theme, and from the moment I saw DARKSpawn's entry, I knew that it was a winner. Can't wait to see what you two cook up for CCCV.
Thanks also to Anthony for hosting this contest, and to Brickforge for providing the cool prizes.

Congratulations to all the the builders who entered this contest, and especially to the winners. Aaron, you should take some pictures of the Brickforge animals roaming among the Dark Knight's Castle. :)

Hehe, I wasn't expecting such an honor, Tony! I was more just throwing out ideas for future contests. Thanks all the same for the quick response! And thanks everyone for the congratulations, I'm looking forward to seeing some of y'alls creations for CCCV!
