Round Towerz

Here's my first shot at a castle with round towers. I threw in a hobbit hole to "keep it real". There's also some action going on underground. Don't ask questions about what's going on in this because I don't even know. I will say that one of them is a personal cry for help. :P

That's a good technique for curved walls - is there a shot that shows how it connects to the ground?

I'm also quite fond of the cave portions of this MOC, especially the underground waterfall.

Great MOC :)
Nice landscaping and underground action.
Are the orcs and dwarfs allies or enemies?
the only thing i don't like is that the building between the towers looks too plain compaired to the towers...

Heh. Those orcs and dwarves are in for a mutual surprise ... and I like that (presumably) evil woman's secret blood-bath.

Like Azaghal, I'd also like to see how that round-tower construction connects to the base.

The towers connect with a few jumper plates and sits on tiles.

Awesome work, Rock. I really like all the minifig action, & that's some awesome landscaping too. Well done incorporating windows into the round tower, I know that can be a bit messy ;)

My favourite aspects (so far) are the Dwarves & goblins digging into each other, the Lady bathing in virgins blood (there is a historical reference for that but the details escape me right now) & the hobbit hole - awesome use of those printed arches. I also like the inclusion of the Indy theme elements.

Well done & great to see you back in action :)

Nice. Round towers for the win! I'm dying to try that now.

Once again you amaze me, Rocko!

The first thing that caught my eye was, of course, the round towers. The windows are very nicely constructed. The rest of the stone-worked building is good, and the interior is nicely done.

The hobbit hole is very nice. Great use of the printed arches and the chimney is nicely done. It blends very nicely into the rest of the MOC, even though it kinda seems out of place.

The underneath part is very interesting. The mining part is nice. The section with the waterfall is funny. I like the dwarf and goblin playing Dejarik.

I could say more, but it would take too long.

In Christ,

Marvelous once again, Rocko! Are you suggesting that Patrick Swayze play Bilbo in the new Hobbit movie?? :P . Great detail all around. I like the underground waterfall as well as the sinister bath of blood scene. You managed to mash a bunch of ideas together and make it look cool.

The amount of detail you cram into your mocs is amazing.
This is your best moc to date.

Like others have said, the circular towers look great. Having two towers on opposite ends of the building really balances out the overall structure.
The landscaping is superb as well and I love the underground mine shafts.
The secret blood bath chamber looks quite soothing actually, minus the blood!
The only criticism I could come up with (and its trivial) is the fact that you used all black pennants for your flag. I would prefer a little color there!

This is top-notch work, good job!

Thanks for the comments fellas. Like I said, this is my first experiment with round castle walls and I hope to return soon to the concept with some better planned ideas to incorporate with a circular structure.

I'm glad we've still got some Swayze fans in here. I've developed a habit of incorporating a little detail from a recently built MOC into new models. Even if it's as dumb as Patrick Swayze, it's still a fun cameo. :P

Oh, those flags are dark blue with a black one in the middle.

 A lot of great details. Round castle towers look good and I like that the towers fit well with the center building. No bad gaps at all.

I would prefer that the stone steps were used for the hole slope of the hill instead of the wooden steps. Just seems out of place for a large stone structure to be using wooden steps halfway down. Just a small gripe.

Overall, great job! :)

I was going for a look of some kind of earth shift that required a temporary ladder. Like maybe the edge of the hill collapsed recently. It's kind of an obscure element to notice. I guess I'll start explaining various aspects of my MOCs instead of being lazy to type a bunch of stuff. :P

Great work. The towers looks very nice and fit nicely with the rest of the building. I also just LOVE your landscaping!
